Preface: I am NOT a legacy player, (cEDH, CAN highlander, pauper) however I am very interested in giving the format a shot and this would be my intro to legacy deck, just so I can get into tourney's/legacy events see other decks and play styles and give what a lot of ppl consider the BEST format a go!
So... I was looking at an older modern deck I had made and some older burn cards I had and decided to make a Legacy Rakdos burn. Straight forward burn deck that runs hella fast. The only cards I need to make it complete are 2 more
Badlands
1x
Dark Confidant
and the 2x
Tyrant's Choice
NOTE: play tested at local FNM here this past friday 8/2/19 and pulled out some fast turn 2, but was winning regularly on t3-4 (EDIT: I was NOT playing against other thoughtfully brewed legacy decks/modern so this isn't the best data set)
Open to suggestions, haven't tested with mox's, not sure if I really need to or what to drop if I do, if I run moxs should I throw in a few fire blasts?
Final note: seeings as I have never played the format I have 0 idea what the sideboard should look like so help there would be greatly appreciated!
Thoughts and feedback welcome!
EDIT: Was unaware of the legality of mox's so i guess this became a vintage deck. I have the ability (thanks to an overly generous old head friend I am able to borrow and run 1 mox jet/ruby so why not!?) ALSO did not realize i had 8x of chain lightning in this deck... oops, so I took out 4, put in moxet and moxy and 2 confidants to help that draw. dropped lavamancer (dead draw mostly), added land, excited to playtest this version.
