My main concern whit Waste Not is that it can be too slow... As you said, time will teem :)

You need more pump spells, Mutagenic Growth could fit right in! Also, Unholy Strength and Deviant Glee give you the same kind of boost without paying 2 life. In addition, you might want to add Ichorclaw Myr or Plague Myr as early-game infectors in case you don't pull Inkmoth Nexus in your starting hand.
+1 for a good deck!

Hi NicolBolasFTW, thanks for your suggestions and upvote :) Will definitely take a look at them. Been wanting to do some tests with Mutagenic Growth for a while, maybe soon.
Thanks!

In response to Dutchmen's comment about new equipment, has anyone considered any of the following:
Barbed Battlegear
Batterskull
Deathrender
Grafted Exoskeleton
Grafted Wargear
Infiltration Lens
Inquisitor's Flail
- Side Note: This is hilarious on Phyrexian Obliterator
Lashwrithe
- Equally funny on Obliterator
Leering Emblem
Livewire Lash
Mask of Avacyn
Nemesis Mask
Nightmare Lash
Nim Deathmantle
Ogre's Cleaver
O-Naginata
Paradise Mantle
Prowler's Helm
Ring of Evos Isle
Ring of Xathrid
Strata Scythe
Surestrike Trident
Swiftfoot Boots
Trailblazer's Boots
Trusty Machete
Umbral Mantle
Viridian Longbow
Vulshok Battlegear
Whispersilk Cloak
Several of these have amazing interactions among themselves. With Umbral Mantle
& Viridian Longbow
on the same creature (let's say Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon
, 6 mana can win the game in one attack. These are certainly cards to consider if you need to fill a couple of slots when making this deck.
Hope this helps!!

Warmonger : wow! Some of them I didn't know, will take a look at them :) Thanks for the suggestions.

I've decided and will definitely run some tests with one Chandra, Pyromaster , replacing one Phyrexian Vatmother or Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon . Will post the results here.
June 9, 2014 5:37 p.m.
Chandra, Pyromaster + Phyrexian Crusader + Vampire's Bite or Funeral Charm = Awesomeness!
June 12, 2014 9:22 a.m.
Another tweak: Chandra, Pyromaster in, Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon out.
Tests with Chandra were awesome and I think she fits Modern decks. She's very underrated and an awesome Planeswalker. Not as awesome as Liliana of the Veil but all her abilities are quite cool against a lot of threats.
First ability has won me a lot of games and third ability can work as a secondary win con, as many opponents don't pay attention to life loss when playing against infect. It's pretty cool to cast 3 Lightning Bolt in a row when opponent's life is reduced to nine.
Skittles is great, but in my current meta Vatmother is more useful as he enters in the battlefield one turn earlier and that is very important against aggro decks. Will probably get Skittles back in the future though, replacing the second Vatmother.

Need to add a second Thoughtseize . Which card should I remove?
June 14, 2014 6:18 p.m.
Ok, added a second Thoughtseize . Inquisition of Kozilek is great as it discards almost everything relevant in Modern, except a few big threats in the current metagame. Yes, Birthing Pod , Splinter Twin , Restoration Angel and Cryptic Command , I'm looking at you.
So, just one Thoughtseize was not enough, so I had to add another. Raven's Crime is great and served me well in the past, but Thoughtseize is Thoughtseize .
June 14, 2014 9:29 p.m.
Wouldn't it be cool if they would print more cards like Snake Cult Initiation ?
Let me know how the second Thoughtseize is doing over the Raven's Crime . I personally love Raven's Crime as it is back breaking for many control decks. With a Liliana of the Veil on board one can top deck lands and pick two cards a turn from an opponent's hand.
June 15, 2014 2:45 p.m.
@Dutchmen: yes, it would be very good :)
Raven's Crime is also a favourite of mine and the decision was tough, namely between Inquisition of Kozilek and Raven's Crime . In the end, I've felt that Inquisition is definitely a 4of, as you can choose which card to discard, although Raven's Crime recursiveness is awesome.
June 15, 2014 8:25 p.m.
Locking the game with both Liliana and Chandra is kind of awesome.
I'm thinking about changing the name of the deck to Ladies of Infect eheheheh
June 17, 2014 8:14 p.m.
I feel like not using Dismember over Lightning Bolt is incorrect.
June 18, 2014 12:03 p.m.
Initially, while coming from mono black infect, I splashed red only to support Fall in the main en some cards like Sowing Salt and Rakdos Charm in the sideboard. Soon after I followed Walrusyn's advice and also changed Dismember and Disfigure in the main for Lightning Bolt and Anger of the Gods came for Infest . Yes, there are situations were Dismember , e.g. early game or just a lot of large bodies, outshines Lightning Bolt , but overall the Bolt is more versatile as it can be used on PW too.
June 19, 2014 1:24 a.m.
If only Avarice Amulet was not 4 mana to play, I might have tried out this new equipment card. Even though it might only be good on Phyrexian Crusader , it will draw you a extra card each turn while buffing it with +2/+0 as well as giving it vigilance. It think al very very relevant in modern. Just the four mana(!) cc is just too much...
June 24, 2014 2:02 a.m.
When I played MBC I used Dismember , Smother and Disfigure . As soon as I "upgraded" to Rakdos, I started using Terminate as a replacement for Dismember and Smother and Lightning Bolt as a replacement for Disfigure .
Dismember is great and I love its versatility but, considering the pros and cons, Terminate is better IMO.
Bolt is great to kill the early drops, like Delver of Secrets Flip , Wild Nacatl and Dark Confidant , for instance, and it also hits Planeswalkers. It can also work as a secondary win con, specially with Chandra, Pyromaster 3rd ability, as many players don't pay attention to life loss when playing wains Infect. Won a couple of games whit it.
June 25, 2014 11:24 a.m.
Yep, if Avarice Amulet costed just 2 mana it would be great. Costing 4 mana it will be too slow for Modern. Might be a good option for late game as a replacement for one of the Night's Whisper , though.
OTOH, It will be a good card for Drafts, I think ;) And I love drafting Theros, hope M15 and Khans will be as good for drafting as Theros.
June 25, 2014 11:30 a.m.
Really awesome deck! I would suggest +1 Surgical Extraction for -1 Rise/Fall , because most of the time is better to take off threats in the begining of the game. Why not Dreadbore in place of Terminate ? I didnt get the point of chandra!
June 26, 2014 6:12 a.m.
@DH_Cell: thanks for your comments and upvote :)
I've considered Dreadbore in the past, but never used it because Terminate is instant speed. Dreadbore can hit Walkers, but I also have Lightning Bolt and Pithing Needle on the sideboard to help me deal with them.
Chandra, Pyromaster 1st ability is awesome to prevent your opponent of blocking with one of his creatures, thus providing evasion, and 3rd ability can be very useful. The situation I was referring in a previous comment was exiling 10 cards with a Lightning Bolt among them. When playing against infect, opponents sometimes neglect life loss, when using fetch lands, shock lands and other cards that can make you lose life (Bob, Bitterblossom , etc). If their life is down to 9 and you cast 3 Bolts in a row with Chandra's 3rd ability, it's game over :)
June 26, 2014 6:58 a.m.
I'm quite happy with the mana base, but sometimes I get Dragonskull Summit without a Swamp on turn one, which sucks. So, I need to tweak the mana base a little bit, replacing one or two Summits. The best option would be a couple of fetch lands, but they are too expensive, so I thinking about the other options.
I've listed all the options with their pros and cons:
- Another Blood Crypt : enters the battlefield untapped if I want, but it's a potential 2 life loss.
- Gemstone Mine : Can produce the coloured mana I want (even blue), but I can only use it for 3 turns. No life loss.
- Graven Cairns : No life loss, but need always to tap another land, which might be not good sometimes.
- Reflecting Pool : possibly one less source of red mana, but can produce the mana I need.
- Mana Confluence : can produce any mana I want, but 1 life loss every time it's tapped.
- Sulfurous Springs : potential life loss on earlier turns, but can use it for both red and black mana.
- Temple of Malice : enters the battlefield tapped, but gives scry.
I'll probably use one Blood Crypt and one Reflecting Pool , but would love to read your opinions.

Reflecting Pool
doesn't solve the problem your Dragonskull Summit
s create unless you mean your 7 swamps+ Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth
hasn't been enough to guarantee it will come in untapped at any time. I do see that as being a problem.
I think you're right. Two more Marsh Flats would be best, but barring that as an option I think you've got the right idea. City of Brass is an option if you feel like you can survive a little more damage.
July 2, 2014 5:24 p.m.
You're right, City of Brass is an option as well.
I might need to go for the Marsh Flats though. Will add one as soon as I sell some of the cards I have to sell ;) The other slot is still open.

This deck uses to of my favorite cards Chandra, Pyromaster and Rise/Fall . I can't believe more people don't play Rise/Fall . It's an amazing card. This deck is truly unique and is still very competitive. Awesome brew! +1

A while ago, my meta was pretty heavy in tokens and I tried Illness in the Ranks . However, I never drew any of the three(!) copies I played after boarding. Still think it can be a good card in the right meta...
Waste Not is on my maybe list too and I will definitely run some tests with it. I think the card has potential in a deck like this. Dunno for what card though The Night's Whisper sounds logic, same slot and can have a similar effect, but I have been using the Whisper many times just to find the right land for my third turn. I also think it will not stop opponents from stocking up lands mid and late game, as the two mana gain from Waste Not is less relevant at that point. Time will tell :)
