How do you feel about Auger Spree ? Functions as decent removal AND could pump one of your fatties for a fatal Fling .

September 26, 2012 3:33 p.m.

Auger spree is cool however i dont think it will be needed however i will keep it in mind thanks.

I think your going to need a lot more cheap options if u want to establish any kind of board presence early. Also murder is just terrible, victim of night is your best bet for a mono black kill spell after rotation. Dreadbore is your best option but it black/red and its a sorcery. If u dont use its planeswalker destruction ability often enough its not worth running but i see u already have it too. Too many win cons not enough cheaper support.

September 27, 2012 2:48 a.m.

Dude how do u take advantage of cryptborn horror or rakdos without lifeloss spells? Damage is not lifeloss u have 6 dead cards here. also horror is not worth it

September 27, 2012 2:53 a.m.

I actually can play either of them due to my attack damage considering the damage goes through my opponent takes the damage thus causing theur life to go down and then causing them to loose life therefore i am able to cast my rakdos, lird of riots and my cryptborn horror and i personally love the new horror and will be utilizing him so with hellrider doung damage causing my opponent to lose life once again and attack damage goes through the horror will be disgustingly huge and ill fling him for game.

September 27, 2012 10:32 a.m.

The cards do not say how the opponent lost life just that they lose life is all thata matters so it is almost like a bloodthirst concept my attack damage caused them to lose life and any kind of damage weither attack damage or direct damage it still does damage and causes u to lose life which makes the horror and rakdos disgusting

September 27, 2012 10:36 a.m.

And damage dealt to an opponent results in lifeloss however it was infect damage would result to 0 causing no life lost does tat make sense

Not a bad set up, I would personally drop the Brimstone Volley in favor of Flames of the Firebrand or another burn spell. Flames has the option to remove more than one creature if they are playing weenies, or splash the extra damage onto your opponent.

I would move the Rakdos Charm s to the sideboard and replace it with +2 Pillar of Flame and 2 more lands. Lands are like real estate - always hold value. Pillar is nice since it can exile a pesky creature (think Fog Bank and the like).

Fore creatures, -1 Cryptborn Horror +1 Desecration Demon . You will only want to cast the horror if you can do at least 4 or more damage in a single turn and still have the mana available. If you are doing that, you are probably already winning. The demon gives you another powerful fatty that has some avoidance with flying, and pair them up with Thundermaw Hellkite and say goodnight to your opponent.

+1. Check out my similar deck that uses Heartless Summoning for tempo @ deck:the-big-lebrakdosi

Thanks for the advice i think ill add pillar of flame and 2 more lands the horror i think ill hold off on switching with the demon till i test my deck but i most likely will do the switch thanks again boss

Im certainly interested, it seems to have gone the opposite direction my own rakdos deck and relies on heavier 4 drop creatures, while I work with more 2 drop ones that punish you for creature loss such as Blood Artist tragic slip and hell hole flailer combo. Id certainly like to see how this performs gunna +1 ya. If you could take a look at my own build, any constructive feed back is appreciated. http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/rakdoss-glory/

I prefer Using Hellrider as my big bomb usuall when i play him the game ends, and Olivia Voldaren works for control and can ping pesky creatures off such as blood artist off or any other little weenies and making her more of a threat she becomes a target quick, as for Rakdos he is there because well he is Rakdos he is not at all needed however i have dropped a thundermaw for 2red mana because of him and olivia came out pinging creatures, Thundermaw Hellkite clears the air from my opponents and can clear the air period depending on the tokens all and all this is a very solid deck and I am pleased to say it is mine!

Freaking mean deck man. Only one criticism being that I've never personally seen a stromkirk noble play out well in an aggro deck. I mean if you're looking for one drops which is pretty much mandatory anyways they're good, but I don't think I'd run 'em; although I have no better options off the top of my head so go with what you feel man XD. Awesome deck.

October 6, 2012 3:17 a.m.

Thanks Cdizzle360 and ya i here ya on stromkirk this deck has a lot of targets and card that will overwhelm my opponent fast, glad ya like the deck.

i think you should atleast board Tragic Slip seeing as it helps if you play a stuffy doll deck, or a variant of R/B vampires, it would kill the indestructible pains, or even an avacyn if morbid triggers

October 8, 2012 12:39 a.m.

Ill consider sideboarding tragic slip but so far this deck has out ran pretty much anything its come across thanks for the suggestion and again I'll consider traguc slip

I think that adding 2 more lands wouldn't hurt and maybe some Sign in Blood s for some draw. I'm digging the Shrieking Affliction . It reminds me of Quest for the Nihil Stone . I would probably add in Tragic Slip instead of Dreadbore and move it to the sideboard, it's an awesome card but as a sorcery you can only play it on your two main phases.

Looks cool though!

I have a similar deck The flames will fade and soon there will be Dark utilizing Liliana of the Dark Realms with card:Rakdos's Return it's pretty cool.

October 11, 2012 1:48 a.m.

I know i like tragic slip and Dreadbore being a sorcery isnt fun however it does come in handy. Ill most likely add slips to my sideboard considering Dreadbore does a lot for me @ my local fnm. Lands i believe are fine i drop one everyturn already so thats perfect and sign in blood is something ill work in.Any suggestion on what to replace sign in blood for.

After playtesting I found Vexing Devil wasn't doing much for you. Maybe replace him? I kept drawing them late game and felt I'd rather have drawn something else. How does he play when you use him? Does he help you out much

October 11, 2012 2:27 a.m.

It seems like when I play online Vexing Devil later game and @ fnm i get him in opening hand or turn 2 or turn 3 I'll take 2 vexing devils out for 2 sign in blood and add bloodgift demon or griselbrand in place of the other 2 idk for sure yet. Thanks

October 11, 2012 11:18 a.m.

Put Vexing Devil Back in he seemed to speed up the Damage in my Deck took 4 murder out in place on 2 Mizzium Mortars, and 2 Elixir of Immortality, Tragic slip came out for dreadbore again i seemed to like it better. Then added 2 Slaughter Games in Place of Traitorous Blood, and Vampire Nighthawk In place of Elixir of Immortality in the Sideboard.

Shrieking Affliction won't be very useful against control players, I think. They'll always have cards in hand. Ultimate Price may serve you better than Murder.
