I originally had 4x Mogis's Marauder . I took one out after I added in Deviant Glee and took out Exava, Rakdos Blood Witch . My reasoning behind taking one of the marauders out is because I want to draw him instead of having him in my starting hand. When I see him in my starting hand, I usually find myself wishing that he was a Spike Jester or an enchantment instead. Also, I found that there are a lot of people playing Black and Red decks in my LCS, so he does less for me here. If the "Intimidate" is working for you, then you should definitely play 4 of them.

I don't like it for the Agro deck because it costs 2-Red, which sometimes I don't have on turn 4-5. Also, though it is a 2-for-1, it can be a liability when they don't have a creature and you want to burn-to-the-face for the win. With this kind of Rush deck, I prefer the more playable Lightning Strike .

The first time, I lost to a Selesnya Beatdown deck and the second time, I lost to a Boros Midrange deck. I could handle the Voice of Resurgence , but the Fleecemane Lion drop was too big to get around... especially after monstrous. The surprise Advent of the Wurm didn't help either. Against the Boros Midrange, I actually think I would have won 7 times out of 10, but in those two games specifically, I had to mulligan.

I don't like Mogis in this deck. If you have 7 devotion on board, you should already have won, and the static ability is not that powerful. Exava is much more powerful for this kind of ultra aggro deck.

A card you may want to consider is Pain Seer . It has an ok body and can attack just like your other guys, but 1. It's something that your opponent is forced to deal with quickly and can open up a window for a huge Exava or Marauder attack, and 2. If it somehow does survive, it can generate super important card advantage for a deck as fast as this. Of course, I haven't seen him in action, so I'm just speculating here. Just something to think about.

@omnipotato, I can see where you're coming from and I agree. If I play Mogis and I actually have 7-Devotion, I'm probably already going to win. However, I took out Exava for the same reason. Exava is probably a little bit better for this kind of rush deck, but Mogis is definitely better for the transform-into-midgame Game 2. If I wanted that little edge in Game 1, I'd have to replace two of the existing sideboard cards for 2x Mogis. For this reason, I think I'm going to keep Mogis in the mainboard.

On the other hand, Pain Seer is definitely a card that I overlooked.Though it's kind of slow (earliest inspire trigger on Turn 4's untap), I'm considering swapping it in for Rakdos Shred-Freak . It's nice that it could give me the push I need to break past turn 4-5 problems, but it's bad that it removes 4 of my two-drop hastes. I'll have to test it on Lackey and see how often I'm stalled at turn 2. If it's not a common thing, then I'm definitely going to include pain seer.

Yeah I'm not sure what you would take out. Maybe side it in against control?

The deck was quick to get me down to 11 life after 3 turns, but I only went up from there using my You Will Obey deck. You blazed through your cheap cmc creatures and enchantments.

@Kaenon, Yea, your deck mainboards too much removal for my deck to win without ideal draws / you getting bad draws. I would probably lose Game 1 and transition to Game 2 with my control deck. I would hope to slaughter games your Thune and try to maintain early board control since the rest of your creatures are small enough to burn through. If I get to do that and still lose the game, then oh well. Ideally, I'd have Thoughtseizes, but jesus christ, those are expensive.

@Zyrxii Yeah Slaughter Games would be a monster. Thoughtseize is expensive for sure.

The only cards I could recommend here are: Duress , Lifebane Zombie (in the sideboard) and add a couple of Hero's Downfall .

Sorry, think about running Ash Zealot in place of Radkos Shred-Freak unlesss you are using that to proc. with Mogis's Marauder .

@Kaenon, So, I can't run Duress in the mainboard because that would def slow my early game down. I depend on getting my 1-drops out as soon as possible and go for the turn 4-5 win. Similarly, I can't run Ash Zealot and Hero's Downfall because they costs 2-Red and 2-Black respectively. With this type of rush deck, I often reach turn 4 with only one mountain or only one swamp, which would leave those cards dead in my hand.

Also, since I'm playing Rakdos, I am running Dreadbores, which easily function as cheaper Hero's Downfalls, albeit minus the instant-speed. I don't really need the instant-speed as I will usually play most if not all of my mana on my turn to get my creatures out; That's why I run 4x Shocks as my instants of choice.

I don't want to use Duress either because getting a creature out on turn 1 is very important to me and that would be when Duress is most useful. Lifebane zombie, however, is a good call and I might try to add that into my sideboard transition into control. I wouldn't know what to replace though...

@Zyrxii didn't see the Dreadbore ! Great card.
