just a thought, although you may not like but how about this?

Blood Baron is a big problem for me and in previous versions of this deck I had run multiple Mizzium mortars but sided them out once everyone locally had stopped running them. Last resort I can use devour flesh to deal with it. Life bane zombie would be nice but I feel that my deck is already well positioned with all of the spot removal that monsters typically can't get anything to stick.

Also with the ash zealot addition it would be pretty difficult to hit double red on turn two and continue to play with up mana hiccups that would keep me from playing a life bane or desecration demon. Spike jesters are a much more practical creature in the two drop slot. They allow me to swing for 5 on turn two in many games and if they die they either trade with a creature or my opponent is forced to remove it giving me a better chance of landing a demon.
The Phoenix's have carried entire games on their back for me. They are terrible targets for thoughtseize, they have evasion that is hard for many decks to answer and having more than one on the field creates a real problem for my opponents.
I could see adding the lifebane's in for a couple tormented heroes, which are essentially dead cards mid-late game.

Yeah, that could be a great addition to the deck, it might lower the early game but could make it more powerful in the midgame.

I like the functionality of this deck, simple yet devious. +1

@musclebeach I really do like this deck in the current meta, it is very strong against most monster decks and even better against control. The really difficult matchup is typically against mono black but I just have to out-aggro them.

That's the beauty of rakdos. It can run aggro or control with its removal and hand hate. I just recently switch to Dega from Boros. Its the options that really got my to convert.

"You will rue the day you sideboarded in...
FOUR.
FIENDSLAYER.
PALADINS!"
That said, real cool deck, dude. Rakdos definitely has some cool, differing alternatives.

I'm not too worried about Fiendslayer. It's not big enough in the meta game and I have enough evasion to be able to ignore it. It would be one of those cards that would stay back on defense on me until I can start hitting them over the head with Phoenix and Demons.

im not too sure about having 4 desecretion demons. id prob drop 2 of him for either herald of torment or life bane zombie. also id switch ultimate price with heros downfall as it kills almost everything. and for now switch lightning strike for skull crack as it is the exact same thing except it stops your opponent from gaining life for that turn which means it can pressure your opponent even further

Maybe Rakdos, Lord of Riots . With all your creatures, you should have no problem getting him out and once he's out, 10x better than Desecration Demon, as much as I love him. Can't be tapped by saccing, trample even if he gets blocked, and that creature spawn.....hit your opponent with him turn 5 and put out 2 Desecration Demons? Not Too bad.

Replace Tormented Hero with Gnarled Scarhide for bestow. Still, nice deck
May 17, 2014 9:27 p.m.
Gnarled Scarhide and Tormented Hero are doing some serious work at PT JOU this weekend next to each other. I'd say both are better than Rakdos Cackler at this point, as long as you make your land-base a little heavier on Black.

I completely agree with Gnarled Scarhide going into the deck. It provides a great aggro push as well as mid/late game padding. I think I'm going to de-construct this deck for now and work on a mono black aggro list.

I like it. +1 from me. It's rakdos like my brother plays, which is always fun to watch but rarely to play against. Haha. Have you thought about making room for Mizzium Mortars or Lifebane Zombie ? I could see anything running Blood Baron of Vizkopa giving you problems. Other then that I like it. Mind taking a look at my version of rakdos and telling me what you think? Mine is more midrange then this but it gets there well enough. The Ninth Gate
