Daze is a good counter for stasis decks. Batterskull is an option for vigilance... I also like Sword of Feast and Famine in here.

also Forsaken City is an option

"Its easier to win a game of Magic when you opponent isn't allowed to play"

I agree, which is why I play loam pox, now. Similar plan, I suppose. Check it out: Legacy Loam Pox Depths. Viva les Prison Decks!

frozen aether might be a good idea in here makes creatures lands artifacts come into play tapped

A single basic Plains would be a good thing to fight against Blood Moon or land destruction. It's nice to be able to actually play Enlightened Tutor, and it'll also help when you sideboard in cards.

I'm new to Legacy so correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Lotus Petal better than Mox Diamond?

One is a burst of mana, and one ramps you permanently.

Totally unnecessary. Once you've locked them you will eventually find a Jace or Keranos to kill them.

true, but beat downs to the face are quicker. both jace and keranos, seem agonizingly slow, if they choose to play it out till the end

drakendark this is a agonizingly slow deck :) Its part of the fun

Instead of the Keranos, God of Storms, my friend and I play Sun Titan because it combos with Claws of Gix. It seems gimmicky, but it's actually really efficient. It allows you to make Stasis utterly one sided, and Sun Titan also simply wins the game. It's not all that much of a splash because of duals, so... I would suggest trying it out.

Daze > Spell Pierce in this type of deck. Returning an Island to your hand can quite often keep Stasis in play.

I had Daze in an earlier list. I like it, and it fits this list more than others. However, this is not the usual Play-Stasis-As-Soon-As-Possible decks, I almost always play Ral Zarek first unless im in a sticky situation. Spell Pierce is better when the lock is not assembled, and thats probably when i need a counterspell the most.

I've wanted to build something like this for ages, something to screw up the opponents minds until they refuse to play magic with you ever again. I love it +1.

Its fun to mess with people. I love to play this when my opponent doesn't know what I'm doing. Once Stasis and Ral Zarek is out it usually takes a couple of turns before they realise the situation and scoops :).

you should probably run Flusterstorm in the side, because without it, you just lose to storm, like every other deck that doesn't run Flusterstorm.

The three Jace are the only cards that I don't have that would be too expensive to pick up (there are a few others that I would need, but reasonable from $). Can the deck work without Jace and what would be the substitute?

smackjack says... #20

Jace is my wincon, so this build would not work without him. You could do a build that focus more on the hard lock (Stasis + Frozen AEther) and use Feldon's Cane to not deck yourself. Forsaken City is pretty good in that kind of build :)

Apoptosis send me your decklist if you decide to create one, ive been playing this for years so i might be able to help :)

What kind of feedback are you looking for these days? The deck looks solid as is.

CharlesMandore im not too sure about the black splash for Lim-Dul's Vault. I need something to make the deck more consistent, but adding a color hurts. One second im considering taking out the 2 Lotus Petals forPonder, and the other second im considering taking out Lim-Dul's Vault for another 2 Lotus Petal :). Im not really sure where to take this, and some general feedback might help me :).
