Forsaken City is a great way to keep 1 mana up for Stasis.

I'd also suggest just running 3x Dig Through Time and dropping Treasure Cruise. This is essentially a combo win, albeit a slow one, so you need to be able to dig out the right pieces.

Saljen Thanks for your suggestions. I used to run Forsaken City, but took it out because it slowed me down. I rarely play Stasis unless i have Ral Zarek on the battlefield, and Ral takes care of the upkeep cost for me.

You are not the first to recommend Dig over TC. I reason that is better than , and my hand needs to be refilled after playing Lotus Petal, Mox Diamond and Force of Will. I still want TC to refill my hand, so im gonna try out 2 Dig and 1 TC..

Well now i guess i have to use Dig Through Time after all :p

Considering that neither white or red is a primary color of your deck, it seems unwise to be running Plateau at all if you're considering this for competitive play. You should really be running 2 Tundras and 2 Volcanic Islands instead.

The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale might be a nice add to your deck, being you don't play many creature cards. Having your opponent sacrifice all their creatures could be nice in the long run.

Yes i would love to have one or two but they are quite expensive. Maybe in the future, first i need to get the 3 duals as thats the only thing i miss from this list :)

How has Ral been working out when you aren't stasis locking someone?

Hes not that good without stasis, his +1 is useless. You can use him as a 4 mana bolt tho ;p.

Thanks for the +1 #1

You should take this to an open and see how many people get rekt.

@ JexInfinite

This deck has been around for a while in Legacy. It's been tested at Legacy Opens.

fluffybunnypants not quite this build tho? Most people play (or played) turbo stasis with Forsaken City, Howling Mine and Chronatog.

February 20, 2015 8:31 a.m.

@ smackjack

No. It's mostly been builds very similar to this, "Jace wins" I like to call them. There's a streamer out there who has been playing a similar list for almost two years now.

Isochron Scepter + Boomerang is always fun with stasis(it lets you bounce and replay your own stasis every turn.) the scepter works nicely with Swords to Plowshares and Counterspell too, and it's always fun to Boomerang a land when your opponent casts Infernal Tutor

a 1-of Kismet or Frozen AEther is another way to make stasis into a hard lock.

Sam_I_am thanks for your suggestions. I think Isochron Scepter is too slow and vulnerable. It would also be a completely different deck if i had to fit 4 Isochron Scepter and 2-4 Boomerang. Its an amazing card for kitchen table shenanigans tho :). I used to have 1 Frozen AEther in the list, but i never felt that i needed it. The soft lock is pretty nasty by itself, and it buys me plenty of time to get some pressure on the board.

you only need like 1 Isochron Scepter, 1 Boomerang and instead run a bunch of Enlightened Tutor and Merchant Scroll

Daze is a good counter for stasis decks. Batterskull is an option for vigilance... I also like Sword of Feast and Famine in here.

also Forsaken City is an option
