Wow! This is one awesome looking flavour deck i love it. I haveclong considered making a flavout powered deck and this has made me start thinking again that it is a fun idea.

Arrr...great deck, i wan't such a flavorful commander deck now as well. Definitely +1 from me. Have you thought about Chasm Skulker ? Your crew might get hungry, and there's nothing better than some beefy squid providing you with even more of its kind to tame and send to battle in the spreading seas ;)

@ClockworkSwordfish: Flavorwise one of the most fitting cards for this deck, I agree. And the flying skelton riding a turtle in the artwork is just so hilarious! I am afraid the card is just too bad on its own though even for a deck as flavor oriented as this one.

Love it - I have a themed deck in Thrasios's Expedition, which is similar but is more about excavating the ocean as an archaeologist/explorer.

I'm surprised you're not using Treasure Map as well. There are a lot of Pirates in Dimir colors you could also consider: http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Search/Default.aspx?page=0&subtype=%5Bpirate%5D

Definitely look at the list and see which ones appeal to you. They're on theme and can offer the deck some more functionality without compromising the flavor.

Oh man and don't forget cards like Captain's Hook. I'd look over Ixalan block as a whole honestly. So much for this deck.
