Ramos, Dragon Engine built with a spellslinger shell. The main objective of this deck is to cast a lot of spells to build up counters, then use those counters to either deal damage on a controlled board or cast a spell that will really make an impact. To reinforce the idea of using Ramos, any spell that can be a multi-colored spell will be. Support for those spells will be minimal, instead favoring the idea of using more of its spells in the first place In addition to the spells, the deck will feature plenty of ramp in the form of green sorceries, mana rocks, and mana dorks, all for the sake of getting down the land count in favor of a more explosive early game. Obviously draw is important, and the deck will rely heavily on getting the spells it needs in hand, so a significant portion will be divided between two important kinds of draw: repeatable, and numerous.

To help the deck stay consistent, there will be a total of 33 lands, leaving around 11 cards set aside each for 6 themes. After consideration for the deck's needs, here's what I've arrived at, category-wise:

  • Ramp
  • Card Advantage
  • Removal
  • Counters
  • Big Spells
  • Deck Support
