Phyrexian Fleshgorger can come down as a quick and fierce 3/3, particularly with help from a first-turn Dark Ritual. A turn-one 3/3 with Menace can make a mess, but eventually he'll be outclassed by all the undercosted creatures we're seeing these days... wouldn't it be nice if he could stay in the game a bit longer?

Well thankfully, that Prototype cost isn't the default. Swing on turn two, then flicker him with a Charming Prince or Ephemeratefoil, and boom, you've got the whole 7/5 package for cheap. Now I see why they ship unfinished software these days! Combat Thresher can likewise be a nasty lategame threat that you can cheaply play early, and even scores you an extra card if you flicker him multiple times. Other than that you have a decent suite of comes-into-play abilities that are happy to be flickered, with Ravenous Chupacabrafoil to pick off troublesome creatures and Loran for noncreature threats.
