Pack Rat is considered to be one of the best cards in Return to Ravnica. Why? It's cheap in mana, and gets out of hand fast. How to make it more dangerous? Populate!

Ideal start:Turn 1: Forest, Elvish Mystic.Turn 2: Swamp, Pack Rat.Turn 3: Plains, then activate rat's ability to get another by paying 3 and discarding a card. Turn 4: Rootborn Defenses and Druid's Deliverance

So, after four turns, you have four 4/4s and a 1/1. Not bad! What next? Well, then you can populate some more with Wake the Reflections , Druid's Deliverance, or Growing Ranks. Play Trostani, Selesnya's Voice for easier population, and extra life for each rat you get! Then maybe a Wayfaring Temple, now really big with so many rats, that can give you more rats when you deal damage with it! Give all your rats deathtouch with Ogre Slumlord! Then play Collective Blessing or to make all your rats yet more powerful! If you don't draw Pack Rat, you can populate other stuff like Voice of Resurgence's token, or keep trying to draw it with Underworld Connections! Play Doom Blade for removal, and that's about it. Enjoy!
