The idea here is to get gods in play ASAP. The problem with going mono color is that if you have too many gods in your deck you could draw too many. This way you're able to still put four gods in your deck and possibly get two on the board fairly early with Nightveil Specter. On unlucky draws you have a number of lower costing creatures to get on the battlefield that will also keep you alive.

I'd obviously like to have more Thoughtseize and a few other subs were made because I don't have the cards I want ATM. I found with all the card draw if I ignore my health for the most part if I'm not dead by turn 5 I'll be able to win pretty much every time with all the stuff I have on the board + possibly lifesteal.
