Cheers for the +1 Generalsplat.

Yeah - I'm loving Prophet of Kruphix in this deck. Having a few good mana sinks like Soul of Shandalar or just being able to monstrous Polukranos, World Eater or Stormbreath Dragon in my opponent's turn is godly.

I found that putting Mindswipe is good to counter walkers and blast opponents.

Thanks for the suggestion The_Wolf_Pack.

Would you play Mindswipe over Negate ? The burn from Mindswipe seems nice and it can counter creatures as well which is also sweet, but not being a hard counter and being more expensive to cast is a bit of a turn-off.

I personally am trying to get 3 Mindswipe s in RL, but highly recommend them.

I've seen Xenagos, the Reveler in these types of decks and it is amazing to see and well worth playing in here. Kiora, the Crashing Wave isn't a bad option as a 1 of either.

Thanks for the suggestions UpperDeckerTaco!

I was using Xenagos, the Reveler in a much earlier build of this deck, but found that he was a bad meta choice at the time. He normally died to a Lightning Strike, Hero's Downfall or Mantis Rider before he could generate any decent value. However, with a lot of aggro and heroic decks around my LGS, he might be worth putting in the sideboard again.

Kiora, the Crashing Wave was in the mainboard at one point as well, but I found that she is only really good against the heroic decks and control decks. She never felt very useful in game one, hence she hangs out in my sideboard.

I feel like since you have low drop mana dorks, dropping Xenagos, the Reveler would be easier to cast earlier as well just immediately +1 him and get some mana generating to save him from a pending Lightning Strike. My buddy plays Temur, and he runs 2 main board and they always seem to come out at just the right time. Damn Xenagos! And you can't be afraid to play a card because it can be removed. Every card has it's downfall (no pun intended) with the possible exception to a monstrous Fleecemane Lion but even then, a Polymorphist's Jest can get rid of a blocking monstrous Fleecemane Lion. So every card is subject to some sort of removal. But it shouldn't hinder you from playing the cards because of it. Otherwise, you'd be left with a deck full of lands, and even then there's cards that get rid of lands, even in standard: a monstrous Ember Swallower or a Peak Eruption. So if you have it available to you, it is definitely worth playing in my eyes.
