I did mean combustible gearhulk; additionally I've cut the Inferno Jet's I've updated the deck to reflect this
I took this deck for play testing on Thursday and then my local FNM. The deck performed well compared to my past attempts at taking a homebrew deck. I went 2-3, but was able to force a game 3 every loss. I lost to Temur Energy, Mono Black Zombies, and a Mono Blue deck that combo'd off paradoxical outcome and Aetherflux Reservoir. I noticed that the deck was fast; but often had trouble finishing the game after turn 8 or so. I suppose this is normal for an aggro deck; however I had multiple games that ended due to a Neheb trigger and a Ribbons activation from the graveyard to get in for an extra 5-8 damage. I want to pickup another copy of cut // ribbons and am thinking about adding 2 copies of Torment of Hailfire. I think it'll have good synergy with Neheb as well. I still would like to transition the sideboard to more black; I'd like to be able to side out and become a more control-y R/B. I'd really like to incorporate a discard or board control engine, but I still need suggestions on how to make that happen.
As for the sideboard; prior to FNM I made some changes to the sideboard. It seemed that every game I sideboarded to make the deck quicker. I'd trade the 3 Abrade, 3 Earthshaker Khenra, and 2 Insult // Injury for the 2 Supernatural Stamina, 3 Doomfall, and 3 Firebrand Archer or Soul Scar Mage depending on the matchup. This served me very well and allowed much quicker games, typically I was able to end the game turn 5-6 when Neheb or Gloybringer hit the field.
TL;DR Deck worked alright at FNM, would like suggestions on how to incorporate a discard or board control engine in the sideboard.
