Champ is mainly in there to be used with the gather the townsfolk and the thatchers revolt, especially with increasing vengeance/ flashback

I would suggest pulling out the core of this deck, playsetting it, then maybe play around with singletons if there is space.

Where are the Falkenrath Aristocrat s?
You need to cut down a lot of the cards in here that aren't so good to maximize the consistency of your good cards. I'd say you should try to add another couple token producers, stick to the 1/1 humans and the Knight of Glory s.
You should also drop some of your 3 CMC cards, because your third turn just has way too many things you want to play on it, while your first and second, you don't have enough options on.

Doomed Traveler and Thraben Doomsayer would also be good choices if you decide to use the Falkenrath Aristocrat .

This is a nice deck but I would say to try to not have any singles so maybe take out the Village Bell-Ringer or Zealous Conscripts and put in another Thraben Doomsayer

Village bell ringer is a place holder for another olivia ;) she is just too pricey to trade for atm xD
November 4, 2012 6:15 p.m.
I would say add more Thraben Doomsayer so you can sacrifice the humans to power up the Falkenrath Aristocrat . also like i said before try to get rid of single cards you have

The single cards are to make the deck more general for FNM until I see what I'm up against and can sideboard in an answer to it.
Considering adding another doomsayer. And I need to add another olivia
Entreat is going to be cut for another olivia, maybe I'll sideboard out the tribute to hunger for a second doomsayer....

Mostly as a creature save, people tend to try to use a lot of removal on my strong creatures for some reason and cloudshift always seems to be a good answer that is cheap xDAlso works well at +1ing champ by bouncing doomsayer in a second time

take out Reverberate and put another Increasing Vengeance because they are the same thing but increasing has flashback

@Gbwiz, Except Increasing Vengeance may only target spells you control, thus meaning you always need an extra two/five mana left over to use it.

I have 1 reverberate and one increasing vengeance in for round one, round 2 if they aren't using spells I want to copy I swap in the second Increasing vengeance.

This deck can easily run the card:Angel of Glory's Rise, Fiend Hunter , and Falkenrath Aristocrat combo. Aby thoughts on trying to implement that?
November 18, 2012 10:42 p.m.
@evil_monkey I think that combo could be a bit too slow, I tend to have the opponent on the defensive fully by turn 5 and win on turn 6 or 7 at the latest. Also putting an angel in would create a third group of creatures and would be useless beyond the ability. Vampires all get buffed and humans serve food purposes.

If you have white/black, Lingering Souls and/or Unburial Rites would help you. You might like your champion, but Ash Zealot and/or Rakdos Cackler would serve you better. I am not sure that I see a lot of value in Cloudshift unless it's to make some removal fizzle- which is a risky prospect. Do you want to hold open one white mana every turn just to make sure you can cast your shift?
For sideboard options, I really like Appetite for Brains and Rise from the Grave . These two cards will just nerf Angel of Serenity decks.

Unburial rites is a good idea, I had discounted it a good while back but looking at it again it could be very useful..... Lingering souls gets me some flying aggro but the lots of my deck flies anyway and I would have to cut something that works as food for my aristocratAnd cloudshift has dual purpose, firstly for removal fizzle, secondly for surprise blockers, tapping out attacking then when it comes to defence cloudshifting a blocker back up. Or blocking then cloudshifting the blocker. It's just a good general purpose card I find, and noone expects me to use it at FNM but maybe that's why it works so well xDAppetite for brains is a fantastic sideboard suggestion, probably cut a purify the grave and an inquisitors flail so I can double it up Thanks for the advice!

I think that your mana base looks good. If you have it, I would suggest maybe putting in another Clifftop Retreat and take out the lone Mountain . I do understand why you have it set up like that. Once Gatecrash hits, we will have access to the other shock lands and that will help your deck out a lot. But overall, very nice deck. +1

Just a thought but perhaps a couple Doomed Traveler s for cheap sac to Falkenrath Aristocrat ?
December 12, 2012 1:19 p.m.
Not too sure why you have all these humans in here, drop them for 4x Gather the Townsfolk and 2x card:Rakdos's Return
December 12, 2012 1:29 p.m.
ok, Sorin, Lord of Innistrad he's decent enough, but you have no need for him, i would rather see 2 Oblivion Ring so you can clear stuff out of the way, or remove that annoying tameyo or jacein interest of the curve, i would drop a Bloodline Keeper Flip for another Blood Artist and also i'd say take out the reverberates for Gather the Townsfolk , great to block with, swing with, or feed an aristocrat for the extra push
as far as a sideboard, i would keep the Slaughter Games (great card) add one more Rest in Peace if you want to keep the sorins in, a 3 of Oblivion Ring would be a good idea in the sideboard too, also a 2 or 3 of Appetite for Brains for control hate other board options are Killing Wave which loves artist, Mizzium Mortars could also take that slot if you just want to hit your opponent
outside of that, I really like the deck, been working on a R/W/B myself, so I hope i was of some help

looks interesting tho i think only having two champion's since you will have a smaller number of humans so his effect wouldn't be as good, however its still a good deck my personal opinion i find the doomed travelers a lot more useful since they replace themselves with a flyer which becomes a threat and will cause ppl to use spells to get rid of him, land is good, i would add another tribute since you kill a creature with it and gain life out of it too so its a win-win (tho they choose who they want to kill but its still good) i always liked bell-ringer because he is a "SURPRISE NOW I CAN BLOCK HIM" kind of guy and avoids a lot of issues with control deck that force you to tap creatures
+1 from me matecheck out my deck and tell me what you think i need advice on some too
