Agreed I'm surprised the pros haven't wised up to it yet.

this is ironic because you're the one who gives me advice. maybe Harsh Mentors in the sb against nrg or The Scarab God

My philosophy always been get as much advice as you give when it comes to magic. If tokens stops showing up i might add two harsh over sweltering suns time will tell.

I really like this particular build. Nice and streamlined. Gonna have to tweak mine to match! +1

What could we replace bomat courier with if we don't have any at the moment?
All other cards are in my grip!

Just curious have you tried insult//injury and/or Hazoret's Monument

no on monument mostly because the deck doesn't want to be in late game it aims to win by turn 5 or be close enough to finish them shortly after. insult I ran for awhile but never panned out or I'd draw two and it would be terrible.

he fits better in a rw humans with Radiant Destiny imo tried it just takes 2 turns to get your money back on him. Alot can happen in two turns.

I'm not too familiar with Mono-Red Aggro but i'll give it a shot. If you are looking at Rigging Runner i'd suggest with the ideal curve that you lose a one drop for it. The problem is that all of the one drops you have do something impactful early game. The worst one i'd say is Fanatical Firebrand, but it is nice when that one damage is enough to kill off something or deal it to the face. I'd maybe drop one or two of them and test with Rigging Runner and see how it goes, but for me the idea is that you want Fanatical Firebrand in your opening hand and to draw the Rigging Runner later. Sorry that I couldn't think of much, but this just looks like a really good deck :D. Good luck in future matches :).

why not 2 blazing volley in the side great against go wide decks and knights and other decks the minus 1 counters soul scar mage gives the creatures is bonkers and can save u most games and kills mono red mirror match

mikeb388 Why on god's green earth would you play that and not Goblin Chainwhirler
June 15, 2018 11:39 a.m.
cause it is not good against every deck i am suprised most people don't sideboard chainwhiler not every deck is a creature heavy deck control sees a lot of play these days and mono red doesn't want a 3 mana 3 drop that does have haste or something to that effect if it can't kill somne creatures if it enters

This is my original rdw deck construction that was 10-0-1 in matches prior to the ban with 3 first place finishes, I removed the byes b.c free wins don't mean anything. 4x bomat courier 4x soulscar mage 3x cartouche of zeal 4x shock 4x earthshaker khenra 4x lightning strike 3x Kari Zev, Skyship Raider 4x Ahn-Crop Crasher 2x Chandra, Torch of Defiance 3x Hazoret, the Fervent 2x Glorybringer 16x Mountain 4x Ramunap Ruins 3x Scorched Desert SB: 3x Magma Spray 4x Abrade 2x Puncturing Blow 3x Harsh Mentor 3x Rampaging Ferocidon
I never was able to utilize Mentor, he never hindered the opponent enough to matter. Puncturing Blow was my only 1 card answer to The Scarab God and it did work. After the ban I added a Chandra to make up for the lost attrition and just put Mountains in over Ramunap plus a 4th Ruins. I replaced Ferocidon in the SB with Cut, another card I ultimately never needed due to glorybringer and Chandra handling all the 4 toughness creatures on their own. The only time I took it to tourney after the ban before Phoenix and Chainwhirler came out I finished first at 5-1. There are multiple ways to build red right now but this is the best red deck wins I've ever built and I build it every standard since the original Innistrad came out. I noticed you don't really use the red 4 drop bombs in standard. I found that they really helped the mirror match along with taking out small creatures for more burn. Love the deck btw! Long live rdw!
