Well yeah of course I run Skullcrack but it's not an answer to Auriok Champion, it just negates the life gain for one turn.

And prevention, you skullcrack them then bolt the champion.

Preventing damage stops protection

Huh. Really? I've never heard nor seen that but that makes sense.

doesnt stop protection. It stops prevention. You still can't target.

Oh sorry I meant you can block, or do a pre damage skullcrack if they declare they are blocking., I messed up what I said.

Skullcrack allows red sources to deal damage to Kor Firewalker. Nothing more. You still cannot block, target or enchant it with anything red. The only ways to kill a Firewalker with Skullcrack is to either get it to block a creature or use a Slagstorm.

I see no real reason to splash black. Rakdos Charm's effects are mediocre at best in the deck, and any role it plays is played far better by other cards. Spellskite seems pointless as well, besides doing a decent job of hosing some decks like Infect.

Why are you running mainboard Paths? They deal zero damage and so, contribute little to nothing to your gameplan unless you're removing a blocker. The deck does want Path to Exiles to deal with stuff like Kor Firewalker or Wurmcoil Engine, but they play a role far too specific to be mainboarded.

2x Balefire Liege. I think it would be AWESOME! It's only a 4-drop and it gives life and an extra lightning bolt like every turn.

*EDIT: It's 5-drop, but still super good, maybe a one-of at that point?

I usually don't make it to 5 lands and if do then I'm probably not going to win the game.

You could cheat him out with a Generator Servant. :p

cmskinny Not modern playable. Burn doesn't want anything expensive.

Play Atarka's Command. You've already got the green, and it's such a great card.

Alright so I need a way to put Searing Blaze back in this deck. I see more and more that I need the card because of other decks. Any suggestions will help me.

Really not a fan of the forest as a one of, especially in your opening hand. Every land should be R/X

I'd suggest changing it for another shock or a another red fetch.

Or the blood crypt, What's going on?

JexInfinite says... #19

You don't want Path to Exile in the sideboard. It adds nothing.

Ensnaring Bridge is also not a very good card against many decks.

HSF117 says... #20

Well the forest is for Blood Moon and I agree I don't like it either but I feel that it is necessary unless I'm proven otherwise. And I forgot that I replaced Rakdos Charm with Rending Volley so I need to change it.

HSF117 says... #21

I agree with the Ensnaring Bridge.

DatJunkPlayer says... #22

Blood Moon isn't that bad, If you're expecting it vs a twin deck you're more than likely going to hold up mana for Destructive Revelry or Rending Volley

In fact I don't even think a twin deck even sides in blood moon against you.

HSF117 says... #23

So I was think that I could replace Skullcrack with Searing Blaze in the main deck and then replace Path to Exile with Skullcrack in the sideboard. Or maybe just 2 Path to Exile and 2 Kor Firewalker.

This deck is more focused on the burn aspect so I would not use Kird Ape and the other creatures in the 1 cmc slot have the potential to do more damage than Vexing Devil.
