Against aggro don't be afraid to trade the Doomed Necromancer with the attacking creatures if you have another reanimate in hand.

Remember you can target yourself with Persecute to put creatures in the yard

When you cast Buried Alive don't put three big creatures in the yard at once to protect against graveyard hate

Dont forget that Scion of Darkness can put himself in the yard with cycling.
