Hello, and welcome to Reckless PanInfinicon, my janky artifact combo deck! Please take a look, +1 if you like, and all comments and suggestions are welcome.
So I stole the basic idea of this deck from SaffronOlive at MTGGoldfish. Back during AER he put up a budget deck called Reckless Panharmonicon, a mono-red deck that was all about burning out the opponent with Reckless Fireweaver triggering multiple times off of Panharmonicon ETB stacks. It was a really cool idea, but the deck was very fragile because of only having one win-con. I decided to take that basic idea but build a beefier deck that takes advantage of more ETB triggers. Here is the result.
Combo 1: Panharmonicon + Reckless Fireweaver
This is the original. Each artifact that ETBs deals 2 damage, and having more than one copy of either kicks that up to 3 or 4 damage. The deck has multiple cards that can create more than one artifact at once.
Cogworker's Puzzleknot
and Servo Schematic create a minimum of 3, while
Maverick Thopterist
can create 4 or more. In playtesting I've dealt as much as 18 damage with a single play.
Combo 2: Panharmonicon + Salivating Gremlins
.
This creature can get ridiculously huge in this deck, since a single Pan in play makes it gain +4/+0 and trample for each artifact that ETBs. Do the math. :-)
Combo 3: Decoction Module + Panharmonicon + Whirler Virtuoso
.
While this combo can technically go infinite, it's main strength is how it plays off of the other two. Dropping a Thopterist with this combo in play generates 10 energy, which the Virtuoso can then use to create 8 Thopters. That's 12 artifacts hitting the battlefield, which either burns for 24 damage or gives us a 50-power trampler. Either way it's game over.
Finally, we have Mirage Mirror. With this in play we can copy any of our combo pieces, depending on which one is lining up best for us.
Support:
With so many artifacts in our deck Reverse Engineer is usually draw 3 for 2 blue mana, while
Glassblower's Puzzleknot
both gets us energy and scrys to help us assemble our combos. Finally, as an alternate win-con, we can sac 5 Servos/Thopters and flip Westvale Abbey
Sideboard:
Harnessed Lightning in this deck can basically kill anything, so we bring that in against go-tall decks. Abrade is great spot removal, Supreme Will gives us more flexibility, Negate a hard counter, and Magma Spray removes recursive threats.
Hopefully you are entertained. Please +1 if you are, and I look forward to your comments.
