I think that 20 Lands might be a little too much, considering your curve, i'd probably play 18-19 mountains. You could put some Brute Force to protect your creatures / end the game :)

I like this deck. I was considering building a more casual, budget version of this just to break out around the kitchen table, and with this many creatures I had looked at Assault Strobe . Probably not a full playset or anything, but R for potentially 6 more damage seems fun to me.

I did have Brute Force (essentially the same thing as Assault Strobe give or take some and minus the defense) in the sideboard for a while but then took it out cause it never really got much attention. I may take out Witchbane Orb for it again. What do you guys think lolipop666, Hootiequack?

You mentioned before that you have made choices based off your local meta, so if you are finding yourself boarding in the orb successfully, I could see keeping it. Personally, I usually go all out in a build like this, so I guess I favor the two offensive spells. But I can't really see you subbing anything out to board them in specifically. My opinion would be to put them in Lava Spike 's slot, or do a 2/2 split since you seem to like the spike. And if you equate Assault Strobe and Brute Force , then I would go with the latter, due to its instant/combat trick nature.

OpenFire Shatterstorm and Shattering Spree are pretty freaking sweet lol. I had pithing needle in here, took it out. Grafdigger's Cage actually hurts me cause of Hellspark Elemental

Thank you!

Usually you would only bring in Grafdigger's Cage against a deck like Dredgevine (where it cuts off their tempo) or Melira Pod (where it shuts down their combo). And you could always bring out the Hellspark Elemental to make room for it.

OpenFire this is very true.

I sideboard Gut Shot in a deck that runs 0 red mana sources because sometimes I want to be able to kill Dark Confidant without wasting a good burn spell and using mana... It's a good idea to be able use life as mana in certain instances.. It also deals with Snapcaster Mage which is pretty cool in my books.. Or Delver of Secrets  Flip . Plus if you were to run Grapeshot it ups the storm count for free! I think that it's one of the better "free" spells that don't take away momentum from your strategy. I'd rather be the guy slamming bob on turn 2 and making you waste a burn spell on him because there's no way I'd block Hellspark Elemental with Dark Confidant so then you push through the 3 damage and get to Gutshot the Dark Confidant to be ahead in momentum. And life

Keldon Marauders is highly efficient.

I don't like Keldon Marauders . I had them in here at first. I only get to swing with them once and they only do 5 damage without having trample. My two drops all have the capability of doing six and have something extra like trample or not letting people play cards from the grave.

Although this is true, you're doing three damage for 2 mana (equal to Hellspark) and you're getting an unavoidable 2 damage no matter what happens. You do 5 damage for only 2 mana, where has hell-spark does a possible 6 damage for 4 mana. Playing a Keldon Marauders on turn 2, and then a Ball Lightning is FAR more dangerous than a Hellspark Elemental on turn 2 and a Ball Lightning on turn three.

As I said earlier, Keldon Marauders is highly efficient.

Ash Zealot is pretty underwhelming, especially if you're burning yourself by playing Hellspark Elemental . I think you'd be better off with Grim Lavamancer and Keldon Marauders in that slot.

pacis_victus Keldon Marauders also don''t have haste. Haste is one of the key pillars in this deck. I want to hit fast and hard. I've played with him in this deck before, and he underperformed compared to Hellspark Elemental . It may be more mana, but it's like having an extra creature. So if i get screwed on draws, I have him in the grave. Any player that plays the "typical" red deck wins will say the marauders arent the best card in the deck. I like making deck with my own spin, and I truly believe my spin on this deck ia better without the marauders(not trying to be full of myself). Again, I've tried both versions, the Hellspark performed much better then the marauers.I have thought about Grim Lavamancer a lot. And it works and it fits, but it's just something I decided not to go with because I don't want this to be the "typical" red deck wins deck. It's my own. And I want this deck to be smacking people in the face with creatures and less abilities, instants, etc. I want to force them to match my creatures. Not my other spells and abilities . Just a personal spin and preferance. Good suggestion. Though. If I ever switch the deck personality up he will be in it.

My suggestion is Searing Blood goes well in this deck

In addition to the above I would run 18 lands nothing cost more than 3 to cast
