Sideboard

Listen here, buckaroos!

Standard is being invaded by all of these White Weenies and Eldrazi scrub-lords. Well I won't stand for it anymore! It's time to take back our turf with some good ol' Red Deck Wins!

The basic strategy here is to burn away our opponents while maintaining a solid board state. For the early game we want to focus on burning away our opponent's littler dudes until we can get some of our dragons. Avaricious will help with card advantage and Thunderbreak will make sure he stays there. Any excess mana is diverted to the Berserkers and our other burn spells. While we're hoping to win relatively early, we can hold out for longer games as well. That being said, let's see what we have to work with.

The 60 Main

Avaricious Dragon: Our main bread and butter that's going to be grabbing us some sweet card drawing goodness. Drawing up to 5 cards each turn will get you the fire power we need!

Thunderbreak Regent: Oh, you want to get rid of our 4/4 flying friends? How about you take a solid 3 damage TO THE FACE. Still not enough to deter you from Ultimate Priceing it? That's 3 damage FOR EACH REGENT!

Lightning Berserker : She's a tough cookie that hits the battlefield swinging! Dash her in and return her to our hand after Avaricious is done devouring our leftover cards. Her firebreathing ability is perfect for using the rest of our unneeded mana.

Commune with Lava: Who needs a hand when you can have multi-turn exiled goodness! It serves as another pool of cards that can be used as we please depending on how desperate our situation becomes. Immensely powerful with any instants that it might absorb.

Draconic Roar : Almost as frightful as the dragons themselves, we can consistently get off 3 damage to our opponent's face while picking off a defender.

Expedite: As if our dragons needed to be any quicker! A one drop that adds haste is good on it's own, but the extra card is just icing on the cake to victory (I was promised cake, and by god, there better be cake!).

Fiery Temper: It's time for our opponent to feel our wrath! Leave a mana open while Avaricious is on the field and he'll trigger the discard for us. Who said it was hard to get a decent Lightning Bolt?

Lightning Axe: Another trigger for Fiery Temper. As an additional bonus, we can take down a big threat. Ah, that Eldrazi looks nice. It would be a shame if someone were to... burn it!

Dragon Tempest: Our dragon brood grows stronger by the turn. Dishing out extra damage whenever we play a dragon can whittle down an opponent or his/her board, paving the path to victory!

Vessel of Volatility: Heard ya'll like mana! Sometimes we bite off a bit more than we can chew, so it's nice to have some back-up mana reserves at the ready so we can burn through some dudes!

Tormenting Voice: A discard trigger and another way of drawing some more ammo for our arsenal.

Haven of the Spirit Dragon: Had to discard a Regent or an Avaricious? No problemo! We can always fetch it back later and retrieve our fallen comrade.

Mountain: HOLY CRAP THIS CARD IS RIDICULOUS. THERE ARE SO MANY BROKEN COMBOS WITH THIS CARD THAT I ALMOST THREW A SOLID 60 INTO THE MAIN WITH ANOTHER 15 IN THE SIDE. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.

The Side 15

Dragon Fodder : Being out-paced can happen from time to time, so sometimes we gotta throw a few meat shields up while we wait out for some burn spells.

Fiery Impulse : Super cheap instant that hits some of those pesky Vamps and their unturned white counterparts.

Kozilek's Return: Widespread instant speed removal is excellent in standard right now. Our dragons are beefy enough to survive and our berserkers know not to stand in the line of fire.

Ravaging Blaze : Some people just want to watch the world burn. As a plus, we're almost guaranteed to hit Spell Mastery by the time we want to actually use the Blaze. It pairs well with a few Vessels.

Roast: Because screw ground troops.

Tears of Valakut : Because screw fliers.

Smash to Smithereens : Because screw artifacts.

tl;dr: Draw cards, burn directly, swing with creatures, yadayadayada, I'm Batman.
