Ah burn. Always a bummer. Always the budget deck of modern. Always the deck that keeps other decks in check. And most definitely always a tier 1 deck for the format!

Enter modern BOROS (splash green) BURN! A highly competitive and fairly budget aggro deck for modern! It's game play: simple. Use your cheap and efficiently costed spells to quickly make that 20hp into 0 by t4. Made a mistake somewhere along the game? Don't worry. Burn is one of those decks that forgives you for wrong plays. Accidentally burned a creature instead of an opponent? Don't worry, your next topdeck will 70% of the time be something to correct your error!

Why I went boros and not naya? The format is fairly heavy on removal thanks to the insurgence of Fatal Push. Basically any deck with red white or black can easily handle a Wild Nacatl which is something we do not want to happen. Hence, drop the nacatl for more straightforward firepower! Being in boros colors also mean your fetching of shocks are much much muuuuuch simpler, easier and less painful to sequence Coz all you need is just one RW land on the field like a Inspiring Vantage or a Sacred Foundry. The only reason green was splashed in this build is to accommodate for Destructive Revelry in the sideboard as it's a hit-your-opponents-burn-hate-card thing. Yes I'm talking about you Leyline of Sanctity and Chalice of the Void.

My build has a slight difference in the main board as compared to generic boros builds; it packs 2 Magma Jet and 2 Lightning Helix instead of a full 4 helix. In my meta where midrange and control dominates, the scry really comes in handy. There was never a time have I regretted the utility in the jets as they have always been there to smoothen out my next 2 draws way better then a helix could. Yes it does 2 instead of 3 damage, but think of the possible damage the next 2 cards off the top of your deck could've done if it was for the magma jet.
