if you want this deck to be standard you will need to drop Lightning Bolt the closest thing i know of the compares is Thunderbolt not quite as good but still. Also a great stall card would be Slumbering Dragon , make them think twice before running up and tagging you for a few life points. i wouldn't put more than 3 in here though.

I have a friend running Slumbering Dragon but I really don't know if it is fast enough in a burn type deck. I totatally agree with what you are saying and see the potential which sounds cool, but I am having a hard time decide ding which cards to remove because they are all very effective.

But I will agree Thunderbolt would be a good fit here considering some of the good flyers out there or direct 3 damage is good too

Tempted on taking out Chandra, the Firebrand for Koth of the Hammer . I was thinking for a turn five kill by using his -2 to give me double mana then dumping everything i can to go for the kill. Any Suggestions?

Thunderbolt can shoot flipped delver and go to the face. Also Vexing Devil is very bad, i would play more Guttersnipe and Chandra, the Firebrand in its place!

Vexing Devil has won me games. Especially if two come out in a row. I understand that the choice lies with the opponent, but 80% of the time they will take the direct 4 damage. I was thinking of going one more Guttersnipe however i don't have a lot of spells and feel that if I did, it would require more burn spells to make him more viable. Maybe taking out Goblin Arsonist may help with this. Thoughts?

I am thinking of running. Reverberate . I think this could create a big turn 4-5 game win scenario with Guttersnipe . Thoughts. I am thinking taking out Fling to do so and toss in 3 Reverberate

I've never played with it, so idk how it'll do. Im sure it will be great in some cases, but bad in others.

I'm thinking it could be both an offensive and defensive strategy. So if someone casts like a Bonfire of the Damned on me. I can do it to them as well.

I really like this deck, the reverberates seem solid as well, but I'm not sure yet.

I have been looking for a solid red deck and this is quite fascinating. As budget is not really a problem for me, would it be wise to add Bonfire of the Damned ? If so, what would I remove?

September 23, 2012 6:02 p.m.

Blueogre007 says... #21

If I was to add in Bonfire of the Damned I would take out either card:Devil's Play or Thunderous Wrath

September 23, 2012 7:28 p.m.

I would at least have 1 bonfire mainboard and maybe 2 sideboard, I would take out 1 Zealous Conscripts

September 23, 2012 8:36 p.m.

that or 1 Fling whichever you think is best

September 23, 2012 8:37 p.m.

Blueogre007 says... #24

I would do 1 Fling actually because I use it as a kinda screw you if I stole a creature with Zealous Conscripts lol. But it's not a mandatory card. Just a funny combo
