I was thinking bout those especially Ash Zealot . Maybe I could take out either Stromkirk Noble or Zealous Conscripts ?

I would leave Stromkirk Noble in. I actually have a rdw also. If you wanna check it out on my name go ahead to maybe get some ideas. The creatures i run are 4x Stromkirk Noble , 4xRakdos Cackler , 4xAsh Zealot , 4x Rakdos Shred-Freak 4x Cryptborn Horror an 4x Hellrider . Idk thumdermaw and conscripts seem kinda expensive. They are very good just not in a rdw. You usually want to stop at 4 at the most. I haven't played with Guttersnipe but that seems like another possible option to take out. The cackler, freak and ash are just amazing 1 and 2 drops for red. Hope this was helpful

Mizzium Mortars instead of Thunderbolt and Harvest Pyre or Burn at the Stake instead of Fling since you said you're having creature problems.

Mizzium Mortars is a good suggestion. I'll play test with Harvest Pyre and see how it goes. Thanks for the advice!

Done!!

No problem! Are you playtesting harvest pyre in place of fling? I just feel that those three are dead cards if you don't have a creature out, and even then, you lose a creature to either kill a creature or hit the opponent, which is not a great scenario. Although, I do have to admit, Fling ing your Vexing Devil in response to the sacrifice trigger to deal an additional 4 damage is hilarious! xD

Why would you want mortars? Searing Spear is a better option for a rdw. Having instant speed removal and flexibility to hit opponents out weighs an extra 1 pt of damage. And you should have won by the time you get to 6 land to cast it for overload.

@mstancea can that be done? You are right that would be hilarious!

@redplayer no worries man.

I am going to try harvest pyre in here to see how it fares and will get back to you. Thanks guys!

@DarthTrevyn More dots, more dots, more dots, OK Stop Dots!

Brimstone Volley is a must have 4 of.

Blueogre007 says... #14

Brimstone Volley is kinda A situational type of card. I would need a creature a creature to die to be most effective. That's why I run two and then 2 Thunderous Wrath for the miracle

Brimstone volley works perfectly with vexing and yes you can fling him in response to them paying life. Personally i prefer cloudshifting him.

I'll keep do some heavy play testing and see how things work. I used to run 3x Brimstone Volley but dropped it down to add other spells

Just to clarify, you CANNOT sacrifice Vexing Devil AFTER your opponent takes the damage from his trigger...you actually do not get priority at all during the resolution of his ability. The best you could do is respond to his trigger, although your opponent probably won't take the 4 damage from the trigger when the devil is no longer in play...though you would still deal 4 damage for the fling.

I would get rid of Harvest Pyre and run Bump in the night. I do think its so much creature hate. I run a similar deck and i love bump in the night with reverberate and Guttersnipe soooo goood.

I've been thinking of Reverberate a lot lately so maybe it's time to put it in. Bump in the Night is an interesting suggestion and a good one thanks!

i've got a R/B aggro deck and I have an idea that can helps you.Instead Stromkirk Noble , try some Ash Zealot . The field has a lot of spells with flashback, reanimates and also Gravecrawler . First strike and haste are also insane.
