Daedalus19876: Haha, and exactly THAT is why i play commander. I love to see this kind of stuff happen. Hilarious!

Jester57: Thank you! Do you plan to make a similar deck, or is there anything you want to know about how it plays?

may i suggest Psychosis Crawler. ive been testing a similar deck, and crawler makes quick work of opponents life totals when you are drawing 10-20 cards off of one spell. with zada, you can 1-shot everyone else just by having a bunch of dudes, perhaps through krenko, or b casting multiple cantrips. i would highly, highly, recommend it.

Mastertoa: I like it! It's also good tech against a pesky Nekusar deck that has wrecked my life before, hehe.

Angel's Trumpetcan work very well. I think it is the only mass vigilance for red. forcing every one to attack can speed the game up and make things more interesting. it also works really well with Seize the Dayletting you use. every attack phase you got from it.

glad to be of assistance

Alljack: Unfortunately, the only other artifact to grant vigilance to all of your creatures is Akroma's Memorial, and the pesky protection from red screws up the normal game plan :(

I'm not willing to run Angel's Trumpet just for a single combo, alas. But if it works for you, tell me, and I may reconsider!

This is such a fun and cool deck and I'm so excited to see Zada being fully utilized as the badass she is! +1 from me

I think Price of Glory and In the Web of War would work well in here. PoG shuts down counterspells and removal unless they hate their lands. and Web buffs AND give haste. nice deck +1

i am confused. how do you copy fiery gambit?

January 7, 2016 6:47 p.m.

Daedalus19876 says... #14

Mastertoa: Astonishingly, it only has one target (in the "3 damage to target creature" part). Point at Zada, copy, shoot for the highest level each time. On average, for each 8 creatures you control, you get to draw 9 cards and untap all of your lands. The creature dies, sure, but it's worth it.

Why acorn catapult?

Daedalus19876 says... #17

USA_RGrimes: I'll admit it's not my strongest card in the deck, but I can use it to gain one extra token per turn by harmlessly pinging my commander, or pick off small utility creatures. I can also kill my opponents' Nin, the Pain Artist, which is a deck I play against pretty often.

What are your thoughts about expedite and brute strength?

January 19, 2016 1:28 p.m.

Daedalus19876 says... #19

ziggi777: I haven't had time to update my list here yet, but Expedite went in immediately. I'm not overly a fan of Brute Strength, but I'm still considering it. The other card I'm excited about in this set is Goblin Dark-Dwellers, which is also in my current build.

Expedite did seem like an auto-include lol. Any chance we could get an updated list on here? I've been slowly assembling this deck with a few cards taken from other Zada builds on here, but the core has been assembled based on your build. I'm having trouble picking up chandra and stranglehold, how well do you think the deck would preform without them?

For any readers who need to know how good this is. Burn at the stake for 600. That's all

ziggi777: I'm sorry I haven't uploaded the newest draft of this deck. I promise I will do so as soon as I get my hands back on the physical copy (it's in storage until early June). I can give you a rough list of the updates by memory if you want, though.

Casey4321: That was a good game, heh. TBH, this is usually one of my less powerful decks, so I'm surprised by how well it performed. I may have to return it to my "main rotation" of EDH decks again!

Really like how Zada, Hedron Grinder can be budget-ish and still be broken

Daedalus19876 says... #24

IgnisMachina: I know, right?? :D I have a super-budget broken Sidisi EDH deck if you're interested: $25 Extreme Budget $idisi EDH

But I should update this deck soon. I've made extensive changes IRL, and I could also update a super-budget version! :) Your thoughts are always welcome on both.

mario37, ziggi777, Casey4321, and IgnisMachina: I've made a hyper-budget version of this deck, if you're interested! :) It needs some suggestions, though, so I'd love your perspectives!

I also need to update this version of the deck...
