I got the deck, and it needs a ton of mana ramp like Into the Wilds, Omnath, Locus of Mana, and Dictate of Karametra.

Don't know if you still play with this deck or not but Hooded Hydra seems like it could do well in here.

EDH does not port into standard. If you wanted R/G big things in standard do eldrazi.

I love this deck. I found it after I recently put up one of my own. This plus these great comments gave me quite a few things to think about. There are a few new cards that have come out since that I included in mine. Thought I would link it here as I would love to get your thoughts on it. Not only looking for suggestions but pitfalls in your experience in playing it, or quirks you might have run into.

Stalking Vengeance = your opponents don't want to kill Thromok the Insatiable. Also add in Cryptolith Rite for epic amounts of mana. And Feed the Pack is hilarious when you can cast Thromok every turn, and then sack him for way too many wolves. Imagine this - on the field is Cryptolith Rite + Feed the Pack + Warstorm Surge for your enchantments, while Stalking Vengeance and five 1/1 tokens make up your creatures. Thromok enters as a 25/25. Bam - 30 damage. End of turn? Thromok Feeds the Pack. Bam - 75 damage and 25 2/2 blockers/sacks. Comes around to you again, drop Thromok. 50 damage from sacking, and 625 from a 625/625 monstrosity entering. See where this is going? Devour X gets ridiculous.
