I find I will never live long enough to use that as an alt win condition. Thanks for the +1 and the thought of tunnel visioning myself is scary lol.

Reito Lantern will put stuff at the bottom for you mate quite effectively and you need an Extract to get rid of those pesky Kozilek, Butcher of Truth :-) i like this deck mate it is much better than the one my mate has made! lol i would run a Ambassador Laquatus for an alternate mill hes cool and cheap cuz if some one spanks your tunnel vision out of your deck with something like Seek your primary win con is up the creek

That is true, about Tunnel Vision being taken out.
I very much like Reito Lantern and will find room in the deck for it.
Extract is already in the deck =)
I have an alt win con, may consider Ambassador Laquatus
The alt win con is Dovescape + Guile
Please +1 =)
January 9, 2012 4:07 a.m.
yea that is a good win con but very very fragile considering you have minimal counters if someone needs to kill either they can run Boseiju, Who Shelters All but as with everything anything can be dealt with i agree that Ambassador Laquatus should be considered as an alternate win con to the 2 you already have as a main theme didn't notice the extract sorry :-) and yeah +1 :-)

took your suggestion on the land. This deck is slowly creeping up in cost, but still affordable in contrast to other EDH decks lol.

Added Long-Term Plans , allows me to search for any card needed, if I have Dovescape or Guile then I can search for the other or if I have neither I can search for Tunnel Vision
Removed Ambassador Laquatus due to the fact he is a slow win con, requires 90 mana to mill 90 cards. I wouldn't mind using him as a commander if I could get a few cards to reduce activated abilities costs. But as a win con in this deck I decided he isn't a big enough threat.
January 10, 2012 3:27 a.m.
thats why he is good though tbf he a little twat that eats at you :-) but i agree with ya mate, i use him with doubling cube and Caged Sun to make sploits! haha its good i also use Jushi Apprentice and Arcanis the Omnipotent as my general so i literally draw half my deck and make them do similar in one go i can make people draw like 80 cards so there is no chance of a kozilek ruining my day

Agreed in that case with ways to generate a ton of mana he would be great. However there is no such mana acceleration in my deck. So I chose to leave him out.
Ultimately I want to have 3 Commander decks, this being my first deck that I am building. I have started to gather the cards for the deck now and hopefully should be finished in a couple of months, going to wait until march to get Venser with the duel decks, thinking I may save money that way.
January 10, 2012 3:42 a.m.
Yea probs mate i have 7 EDH decks now lol i get hooked on building new decks and they are bloody expensive!haha i love EDH though its awesome between us my mates and i have 16 EDH decks between 6 people nearly half are mine though!! haha

I chose to pick up EDH as the format changes more slowly than standard. I don't mind eventually sinking $300+ into a deck if I can still use it a year later. Standard is far to expensive to be worth it. While EDH is potentially expensive the cost is more controlled in the sense that you can take your sweet time buying the expensive cards. And additions to any given deck could be several years apart, or not.
Really excited about the Dark Ascension zombies...makes me want to make a Geth zombie deck...
January 10, 2012 3:54 a.m.
I think the same standard is too expensive to keep up with and EDH lasts forever basically which is awesome and is far more falvourful a format and funnier and more unpredictable! :-) in short I love EDH lol im not looking forward to the new zombies cuz it will make my mates EDH deck scarier haha

I don't actually play EDH so I can't give much advice but it looks like a cool concept.
+1

Trade Secrets ?? I've always seen that card as a great way to lose the game due to empty library... Your opponent keep doing that until you finished your cards and you automatically lose the game.
Magus of the Tabernacle is the same : even you have to pay [1] for each creature you control, and that's annoying.
I would suggest you to replace Long-Term Plans with Parallel Thoughts : it's better because it grants you to tutoring (casually, indeed) up to seven of your cards whenever you want. Plus,Cycling lands like Lonely Sandbar and Drifting Meadow : seriously, what's the point? What about Seachrome Coast and Glacial Fortress instead?
The rest seems good. I see you got Venser, the Sojourner too. That's sound intresting, maybe with Sundial of the Infinite + something else that exiles, like Oblivion Ring ,Fiend Hunter ,Glimmerpoint Stag and so on? You'll be able to permanent everything permanentely in this way!

Good point on the Trade Secrets , I hadn't thought of that.
Magus of the Tabernacle I don't tend to have many creatures out on the board. and if I am lucky enough to have Mistmeadow Witch on the board I can exile him during the end step of the persons turn before my turn to avoid the magus. And if that is not an option and he is becoming to burdensome I can simply let him die to his ability.
Parallel Thoughts interesting choice but, if it is dispelled then I lose those 7 cards. I like Long-Term Plans better for that reason.
The cycling lands, to allow me to dig for a missing card. The lands you mentioned will be in here at a later time but are out for now due to cost. Lands will be the last thing worked on for this deck.
Please explain the permanent exile with those cards. I don't understand how that would work.
Either way thanks for the feedback and if you feel like giving +1 that would be great
January 16, 2012 9:19 a.m.
I see,i understand why you put Long-Term Plans instead of Parallel Thoughts . Still, only white and green decks may destroy it,so i wouldn't fear that much, espacially because you got a lot of counters in there.
By the way,i think i failed in reading Trade Secrets : i always thought it was your opponent that may draw up to two cards. Instead,it's you the one that can decide if draw or not,and that makes a sense.
By the way, read those articles to understand how Sundial of the Infinite works on exiling things permanentely (oh yeah,i forgot about it... what about adding Mimic Vat togheter with it?)

No you didn't misread the Trade Secrets . I draw 4 my opponent draws 2 and they can repeat it. Retarded card.
My friend plays a white-green-black deck. So enchant removal is not so uncommon when I play.
I thought about Mimic Vat and want to find room for it.
Damn you for bringing up that combo! lol now I want to crave room for that.
January 16, 2012 9:39 a.m.
coleman984 says... #19
And yes I did misread it, I can draw up to 4 cards...0 to 4. Not a required 4.
January 16, 2012 9:42 a.m.
Eheh Sundial of the Infinite is a great card, especially to exile everything your opponents got. It's not rare in finding Venser, the Sojourner + Sundial of the Infinite T2 decks around these times, altought Sundial of the Infinite is really cheap.
By the way,if you need space what about removing Mulldrifter (is just like Divination ),Cryptic Annelid (you scry enough with Crystal Ball ),Mesmeric Sliver (you haven't got any of them in there,so it's a little useless alone),Riftwing Cloudskate or lands stated above? It's up to you.
January 16, 2012 10:07 a.m.
If you are running Trade Secrets , put in a Quicken and Mindslaver . you Mindslaver and opponent. On their turn, you play Quicken . That allows you to play Trade Secrets on their turn (a Leyline of Anticipation or Vedalken Orrery would also work for that). You have them keep drwaing until they draw out, while you can fill up your hand to as much as you please because you don't have to draw when they choose to continue.
January 16, 2012 2:32 p.m.
True,i forgot about that combo. It could work afterall.

Mesmeric Sliver it activates itself which gets a card on the bottom of their library and I know what it is for Tunnel Vision .
Mulldrifter combos with Venser.
I could see dropping the Cryptic Annelid .
so there is one I could drop. Thanks for the input.

Almost "done" with this deck lol. I'll figure out one more card to drop later.

consider Laboratory Maniac i know it changes the concept, but with him out and all your scry cards, it gives you a secondary win condition... mill yourself ftw lolz
