Beat your opponent's creatures down with direct damage and destruction or just smack them for 2 damage over and over to get your counters on bloodchief, all the while building up pyromancer. Has plenty of 2 cast baddies that stack well for lots of haste damage and blocking.

Volt Charge will accelerate your ascension cards in a few ways. It has the damage required for Bloodchief Ascension. There are 4 of them in deck so you have a decent chance of casting a duplicate for Pyromancer Ascension. It also proliferates to add counters to the ascension cards.

The two artifacts:

Strionic Resonator is great for accelerating counters. Since adding counters to ascension cards is a triggered ability, strionic can add additional counters to one of the ascension cards for only 2 mana. It can also copy their secondary triggered abilities that occur after all counters are on them.

Mindcrank + Bloodchief Ascension is an infinite combo that causes an instant win as a secondary win scenario.

If you want to save a ton of money while preserving the deck functionality:

1) Replace Blood Crypt with Dragonskull Summit

2) Replace Dreadbore with Doom Blade and sideboard Dark Betrayal

Those swaps can save you about $60 on the deck, making this a very cheap and functional Modern Rakdos deck.
