This is my Junk Midrange Deck That I've been building. Essentially I want put out early ramp, to hit my larger threats, then win the game through life gain, and winning in the long game.

1 DROPSThoughtseize - Good way of removing trouble some cards I don't have answers to. As well as adjusting my plans based on what I see in hand. Also gives me more information about the deck.

2 DROPS

Sylvan Caryatid - Used to fix my mana and ramp into my bombs.

Voice of Resurgence - All upside with this guy. Disrupts play and forces the opponent to change tactics or commit to killing him during their turn.

Abrupt Decay - Hits all the early game creatures or enchants that are hard to deal with. Can't be countered is really good against control.

3 DROPS

Hero's Downfall - Solid creature removal, also works against planeswalkers.

Putrefy - Kills everything I point it at, can have some additional value destroying hard to deal with artifacts or creatures that regenerate.

Underworld Connections - Needed card draw for the deck.

Loxodon Smiter - A solid beater that shuts down aggro so I can reach my later game.

4 DROPS

Advent of the Wurm - A 5/5 flash blocker with trample, or post wrath will help me keep the pressure on my opponent regardless of deck.

Whip of Erebos - Lifelink on all my guys? Sign me up! Also with the added bonus of swinging again with one of my stronger creatures or forever returning Obzedat sounds good.

Desecration Demon - A solid beater for 4 mana, I can also force my opponent to lose creatures if they're behind. However, can be weak against swarm type of deck.

5 DROPS

Obzedat, Ghost Council - Best target for the whip interaction. Secondly it allows for me to drain my opponent and get back my precious life.

Blood Baron of Vizkopa - - Works Wonders against removal and blanks alot of the white creatures it gets through.

6 DROPSElspeth, Sun's Champion - Elspeth is a house, a needed board wipe, chump block factory, and can stabilize the board in so many different ways, such a good value card in the deck.

That's my reasoning for the cards I play in my deck. Feel free to add in any suggestions you might have and I'll try and deck test it. I'll post some stuff about my sideboard later. Which is mostly aimed at dealing with control decks.

Other than that please up vote and help me make my deck grow!

Thanks for your time and reading through my explanation.

Keep on Building!

Updates Add

The current build of my deck including, the new Theros cards.

So far the testing I've done among my group, it seems to work well against most forms of aggro, then after sideboard I add more removal.

I haven't had extensive play testing with control decks unfortunately, currently the sideboard is mostly suited for dealing with them..

Please feel free to leave comments and feedback! Any help I can get is appreciated!

Thanks!
