I love this deck idea, but at the same time I cringe when I think about playing against it. +1!
The only little thing I see is maybe fixing the mana-base a bit? I mean, if you've already played with it and it works fine, that's great! but it seems like a lot of Islands. (Granted, most of your cards only require 1 of a specific color; I was just thinking of something I could say to maybe help.)

I do have to agree with the poster above this deck would probably run better if you replaced 4-7 islands with plains. Other than that its an amazing deck. I made something similar myself except mono-colored Fluffy. I have been debating splashing another color for card draw it seems to be the major set back I've been facing in playtesting.

Oh, thanks A_Magikarp and beakedbard for reminding me. I haven't messed with the deck in awhile. Truth be told, I've also been running Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx because it produces mana on-curve and can make tokens very easily with Heliod, God of the Sun ! I guess should actually update the deck now!

I'd drop 1 oppressive rays and 1 pacifism, and add two more lands.
April 26, 2014 4:45 p.m.
Yeah, Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx alleviates some of the burden, but I feel a little naked on 22 land. I may also remove AEtherling , it's just so early in the testing phase that I'm still working it all out!! Thanks for the suggestions!

3x Nykthos seems excessive, I usually try to keep to 2 of them. Arrest may also have a place here. Also, I love the use of Heliod, his tokens add to your enchantment count. Celestial Archon could be fun over Aetherling. Also, maybe consider a Brave the Elements or a Rootborn Defenses to avoid those turn 4 board wipes. I assure you, game two, a control player will not let you keep anything on the battlefield if they saw a sphere of safety game 1

Arrest Is great in limited, but it can't compete against Banishing Light or Detention Sphere , which completely exile ANY non-land permanent. I'm not convinced in keeping AEtherling , but I think for the time being it provides more options than Celestial Archon , so I guess we'll see how the deck changes. I want to make room for a better sideboard against control... Currently I'm leaning towards more Negate and ABSOLUTELY Rootborn Defenses . I'll pitch the creatures, I want to keep Rapid Hybridization against Stormy and Bbov. Thanks!

Keep the Aetherling, he's your late game bomb if something goes wrong.

This is so epic I want to play test it :D. Great idea :) +1

i playtested it and what i found out that it has no chance against hand disruption, the amount of lands is mostly fine but it wouldnt hurt putting one more in the mainboard. the amount of creatures is very low therefore missing consistency and board presence. Eidolon of Countless Battles always looked like a dead card for me here, becouse it only gets buffed by enchantment aura's.Ajani's Chosen is a suggestion for replacing the eidolon. that is all i can say for now.
+1 on the idea though, i really like it
April 28, 2014 7:12 a.m.
doerak312 brought up something I've been working on. I'm still working out the right balance of anti-aggro and anti-control in the mainboard. I'd go into more detail, but I'm on my cell during my lunch break right now. I've considered Aegis of the Gods as a sideboard hatebear against Burn and Hand Disruption, but playing him on turn 2 doesn't stop Thoughtseize on turn one, (but it does make extra Thoughtseize or Duress a dead draw, so there IS always that). Ajani's Chosen is good fun, but in trying it out, I haven't had many scenarios where there are enough targets left on my opponent's board for my exile spells, making it a rather slow engine to start up.
Basically, Esper Control with hand attack is this deck's worst match up, and I'm still working out what line of Play to take against it. Thoughts? Suggestions?

Don't forget Aegis of the Gods also stops sacrificing spells like Celestial Flare and Devour Flesh . I don't think there is really anything in standard atm that can stop t1 hand disruption its kinda annoying.

One annoying thing you can do is run Celestial Flare . This is annoying because after you drop a Sphere of Safety , they can probably only attack with one creature, which is also probably a lethal creature.

I would get rid of Sphere of Safety all together and replace with 4x Arrest . It's faster and it counts as an Aura which boosts your Eidolon of Countless Battles . Just my once cent because am so poor i can not afford two.
+1
