This is my old frame only take on the typical "premodern elves" deck that uses Kamahl to pump the elves and (in theory) stomp all over your opponents. Thankfully, a lot of excellent newer green cards have gotten old frame reprints recently. Like my other old frame decks, my goal is for this deck to be able to compete with "new frame" decks despite the card selection limitations of the old frame constraint.

Notes:

• Like my Old Frame Walls deck, this deck does very well with under 40 lands. The elves do their thing.
• IRL, the deck has Rofellos, Llanowar Emissary instead of Multani's Acolyte, but I hate how this site displays "banned" cards in red. The deck is meant for casual play.
• There are a few non-elf creatures, but searching with Sylvan Messenger, Wirewood Herald, and Skyshroud Poacher should still be effective.
• Nature's Chosen works extremely well with elves that tap for mana based on the number of elves in play, etc. Feeding the massive amounts of mana into multiple activations of Kamahl's ability can lead to some nutty amounts of damage.
• As with most mono-green decks built with older cards, card draw can be a challenge. I tried using Recycle at one point, but I just don't like how that card messes with the player's hand. Lifecrafter's Bestiary, Guardian Project, Sylvan Library, and Collective Unconscious are generally enough, but the deck can still stall at times when trying to keep up with blue-heavy decks.
• I've struggled with which elves to exclude, since there are far too many "good" ones to include all of them without having more than half the deck be elves and leaving no room for instants, sorceries, etc. At one point, the deck had 45 elves, but as more old frame reprints of newer cards have come out, I've subbed them out. Cards like Evolutionary Leap, Wilderness Reclamation, and Caged Sun were removed from an earlier version of the deck to provide space for more elves.
