@creelgoe I don't see how you could think I was confused about the direction of the deck. Please elaborate.

You might need a little more removal with how midrange your deck is. And since you're not trying to win with speed, scry lands are gonna be good for you, both in manna consistency and draw quality.

what I was saying is I see both versions of RDW in this build. I see the aggro build in cards like Firefist Striker , Legion Loyalist and Madcap Skills . But I also see a more midrange-ish devotion build in stuff like the scry lands that can slow you down (not that I'm knocking scry lands, love those things). But what I'm saying is you have elements of both builds here which means you have some cards which, in my opinion have no business being here in your deck. I think you should pick a direction to go in, namely the full devotion direction. Also I know that you've already had this discussion with other people but I would like to respectfully disagree with your decision not to run Fanatic of Mogis . Ultimately it is your choice but I would highly recommend it as a fellow RDW player. It's always been a bomb for me.

@creelgoe so what would you suggest I take out for a more aggro deck? Keep in mind the reason the Chained to the Rocks is in mainboard is to be a better removal than a burn in case stuff like Desicration Demon comes out.

You thought about putting Aurelia herself in? I know she's a touch slow for aggro, but if you focus on a bit more midrange (which I'd advise maybe another Chained to the Rocks and perhaps Mizzium Mortars if you do), she wins games pretty straight up. Your enemy will have spent much of there fast removal by the time you get her out (to plenty of people, Red = aggro), and with Nykthos + Boros Reckoner and others possible, you could get her out on turn 4-5 potentially.
+1, love it, and I hope you keep up the good work.

Guttersnipe and Young Pyromancer would fit in with an easy burn type of deal with Purph.

Well I would drop the scy lands as they're only going to slow you down and if you're going aggro and lowering your curve you could live with only 20 lands. The aggro build can thrive with one land opening hands. I'd drop the Ember Swallower
and move Purphoros, God of the Forge
to the side. Drop both Aurelia's Fury
, and lose one Stormbreath Dragon
, two will be plenty. This frees you up to add in smaller, low costing creatures that you can flood the board with. You'll need to up your count of cards like Firefist Striker
that are very valuable in an aggro deck. You'll want to bump cards like Chandra's Phoenix
, Legion Loyalist
and Madcap Skills
up to four-ofs. Also add in hasty creatures, especially Ash Zealot
. 2 devotion, first strike and haste all in one card is insane. As for Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx
you could keep it or drop it as you see fit. Personally I like the fact that you can use the insane amounts of devotion you're achieve to flood the board early but to each his own.

I agree with creelgoe, Fanatic of Mogis is a bomb for the deck a if you're going for an aggro build. Ember Swallower should be taken out as it's more for a midrange build. Chandra, Pyromaster is a little slow for this deck, and maybe putting in Ash Zealot could benefit more. Purphoros, God of the Forge is good only because it's usually active and can hit players for 2 every time you play a creature, which is huge for the late game.

You need a lot more 1-drops for an aggro build. Rakdos Cackler and Firedrinker Satyr are the best additions to Legion Loyalist we have for RDW until BNG is released. I would also just do 1 stormbreath if any as its only a card you want to see every now and then.

You seem a little confused as to whether you want to go aggro or more midrange. You should figure it out and that will stream line the deck and make it a lot better
