But your opponents are sure to buck-le under the pressure it provides.

Don't be so doe-eyed, phil. But seriously, this deck's got a lot of hart, your friends will be fawn-ing over it.

Damn it alex I know what he meant I was just being a pain and pointing out that his pun was bad because it didn't sound right but now you ruined the moment and now I have to explain everything there are you happy now I hope you are because you are a friend and I like to make my friends happy but not in that way if you know what I mean because that would be weird

This is what I will try to build, but it's not ready yet. I don't know if I should focus on tokens or if I should just make a GW midrange

Cards to consider putting in: Voice of Resurgence , Farseek , Unflinching Courage
Cards to consider taking out: A few copies of Rancor , Sigarda, Host of Herons , Arbor Elf
since you already have the Reckoners, I'd consider splashing some red to get them in there.

Pretty good from the limited amount of playtesting I did with it. Different than most of the GW decks that have cropped up since Craig Wescoe won the tournament. I honestly have no critique for this deck at all. It seems like a winner.

I just played this at FNM tonight, though I was missing 3x Voice of Resurgence . I actually ran into mana problems, both in opening hands and during gameplay. Somehow I managed to miss multiple land drops almost every game, critical land drops that cost me games. I pile shuffled and everything.
I think I need to add Farseek , but I'm really torn on what to remove. I'm thinking at least 1 Rancor , and I was debating the usefulness of Advent of the Wurm . I ran two copies tonight, but I found that my sideboarding caused problems: I'd want to sideboard in Thalia, Guardian of Thraben , and would usually remove the advents due to the anti synergy. Both cards are good against control, so I'm not sure what to do there.

I'm surprised by your mana problems. You're running 24 land and 4 mana accelerators. You do have a fair amount of 4 and 5 drops, but not an insane amount for that amount of land. I honestly think they were bad luck more than anything. I'd playtest it if possible. If you want to add Farseek then I'd consider losing 2 land and maybe Restoration Angel and Thragtusk (although that hurts me to say considering how amazeballs he is). Thragtusk is the only card that really benefits from Restoration Angel so losing 1 of each wouldn't be too bad. And you have Garruk, Primal Hunter to help make sure you can get them in longer games where you need them.

Yeah if this was your mana base and you were screwed during your games, then its more of a case of bad luck than anything. But wouldn't you rather run Arbor Elf instead of Farseek ?

If you were to try to put in Farseek , I'd say maybe cut down on Rancor and Selesnya Charm .

I exiled an AEtherling with two Selesnya Charm s yesterday night, I think I'll keep 4 main for now. Arbor Elf over Farseek has its merits (less mana, adds a body for Voice of Resurgence tokens and Gavony Township , creature spell for Thalia, Guardian of Thraben ) but the biggest problem I have is against mass removal. Yesterday at FNM I remember losing an Avacyn's Pilgrim and a token to Gaze of Granite , and Supreme Verdict haunts my dreams. Being set back mana sucks, and Farseek always fixes for both green and white.
I might take out one Rancor , maybe two.

maybe Rootborn Defenses sided for when you come up against decks with mass removal

Nice deck, like the name to go with your theme what is old is new again... Your list really reminds me of elements of my BANT list yet yours seems more conventional and perhaps more consistent early. Mine being more unconventional, and with more flexibility. Instead of sharing points on specific cards, i hope by sharing my list you may gain insight to help better yours, as yours was helpful in adjusting mine a bit. Cheers and good luck!

Have you thought about Trostani, Selesnya's Voice in here? I don't think it would be bad with your thragtusk tokens, and your elemental tokens from Voice of Resurgence
June 24, 2013 2:26 p.m.
I have, but the point of the deck is to be on the offense. If I durdle with lifegain, it's a higher chance that the opponent will be able to stabilize. Trostani is good against aggro, but I don't feel she would add anything to the deck in other matchups.

Voice of Resurgence ? That's pretty deer-ing.
