It's not just for the life gain with Trostani, Selesnya's Voice . Being able to have a definite populate source with as many tokens as you're running isn't a bad thing. Especially when you're copying your elemental tokens to make them all bigger :)

Trostani would be a more or less dead card against control decks, as they can pick her or the tokens off, and the lifegain will matter much less. My late game won't be significantly improved even if I have her out, I think, and the biggest issue would. E what to rremove.

When m14 hits you need to roll garruk, caller of beasts + Worldspine Wurm . They were meant to be together.

They were so made for each other, they should have been a fuse card in DRM!

Goody says... #10

WesBurt should also have been a fuse card

June 25, 2013 8:51 p.m.

And the artist for that card should be Wesley Burt.

I've gotta say, this deck looks like a winner. You may consider Intangible Virtue , but I'm not sure you're deck is token-y enough for it to be useful.

June 25, 2013 9:37 p.m.

Goody says... #13

Unfortunately, Intangible Virtue is too token focused to work in this deck, despite the awesomeness that a 6/6 trample vigilance wurm token with flash for 4 mana would be. It would be a dead draw very often in this deck, and dead draws mean dead turns means dead me

I was trying to do the math but was too tired.

Have you considered substituting Skylasher for Thalia, Guardian of Thraben in your sideboard against control decks? Maybe you wouldn't screw your opponent up as much with that card, but at the same time, you wouldn't screw yourself up as you would with Thalia.

Also, I've always considered Arbor Elf to be superior to Avacyn's Pilgrim . The ability to untap a Temple Garden and have access to a white or green source rather than only being able to produce a white source seems to be better. Although, if you were to put in Arbor Elf in place of Avacyn's Pilgrim, I would suggest replacing a Forest with another Plains to make up for losing the white Avacyn's Pilgrim was giving you.

Arbor Elf is dangerous in my opinion, as there is always the slight chance I won't have a target for it (plains and Sunpetal Grove on the field). Also, hitting double white is very important for Silverblade Paladin on turns 2-3, especially if I am able to drop Loxodon Smiter turn 2 and then silverblade plus Rancor on the smiter turn 3. It happens pretty often, or at least some combination of silverblade and creatures, and getting that early damage in can be crucial. Overall, Avacyn's Pilgrim is more consistent for me.

Skylasher is interesting, I've considered it but I'm not sure if it'd be better. I feel like it won't do nearly as much as I want it to. It's a more combat oriented card than Thalia, Guardian of Thraben , as it doesn't do anything to the game state. It doesn't win against Vampire Nighthawk , Angel of Serenity , AEtherling ; the only use I see for it is against Geist of Saint Traft in bant enchantments, so I'd just hope it wouldn't get an Oblivion Ring . I could perhaps bring Thalia down to 2 and sneak in 2 Skylasher in there, but I've only played against bant enchant once.

Yea. I see where you're coming from. Arbor Elf is a bit inconsistent for your deck. You need white badly early on.

Skylasher , for me, is amazing mostly because of the meta at my local game store. A lot of people run blue control decks like Delver of Secrets  Flip decks and other decks jam-packed with Snapcaster Mage and counterspells. A 2/2 flash, reach, pro blue, can't be countered, non-legendary creature for 2 kills those decks. I guess I'm just a bit biased because of that.

My meta is more on the aggro-midrange side, there are few tempo decks and a fair amount of control. If I start seeing more Snapcaster Mage , I'll find a spot for him

Hmm never thought about using Skylasher against Geist of Saint Traft ... That's actually not a bad defense against BANT AURAS since they don't have much defense at all. Skylasher will not hold back trample damage from Rancor and/or Unflinching Courage , but it might buy you a few turns which is all you can ask against the deck.

I'm telling you Krayhaft, buying the playset of Voices was a good decision. Now go buy your playset for your Junk rites deck so I can beat you on even footing :p

Krayhaft says... #24

Nty, I'd rather buy a box of MMA than a playset of Voices.
