Hiya,
Just speculating more than anything, let me know what you think.
I feel like Advent of the Wurm is wasted on this deck.
I'd personally would run 2x Oblivion Ring or 2x Trostani, Selesnya's Voice .
Purely because they're going to benefit you more, more creature gen through your Voice's and Thrag's, and more life gain each time.
or
O-Ring just for more board control.
Let me know what you think? :)

Well, the point of the deck is to guarantee continuous pressure on the opponent, and always having a way to come back from being wiped/overwhelmed. I feel that as neat as Trostani is, she's not as aggressive as I'd like her to be; it's pretty slow going when I need to play her, populate the next turn (assuming I have a token or can play one and activate her), and finally be able to attack with the token the next turn. I'd rather put out an immediate threat in the shape of a 5/5 trampler that they'll have to waste a spell on or probably die, especially if it soulbonds.
Trostani would definitely be better in a locked board against some kind of midrange or aggro deck, as I could continually chump block or build an army for an alpha strike; it is not, however, useful in any sort of control matchup. If a control deck lets me build up with Trostani (taking 2-3 turns to start doing so), then they were going to lose anyways.
Another benefit of Advent in this deck is with Restoration Angel , not in a direct way though. Say I have both the angel and the wurm in hand, that's two 4 cmc flash cards that I can use in response to something they do. If they boardwipe, great; I'll flash in wurm at the end of their turn and keep the pressure up. If they try spot removal, great; I'll flash in the angel and save a creature. It's another two copies of a tool against control, besides just being an excellent beater.
With all that said, if I start running into locked board matchups, I'll be sure to put Trostani in the sideboard.
As for Oblivion Ring , I'm still not sure. It's an excellent piece of removal, but it seems to be too slow/costly for this deck, especially when most troubling permanents in the meta are creatures and planeswalkers (at least in my opinion). I can beat creatures and planeswalkers with my own creatures, Selesnya Charm , Rancor , etc.

How are you reacting to stuff like Blind Obedience and other enchantment/artifact hate?
July 1, 2013 12:50 p.m.
Haven't seen anyone running Blind Obedience in my meta, it's mostly aggro and midrange decks, with scattered control. I've seen bant enchantments, which I lost to; this was before I had completed the deck, but it's still a tough matchup. I may put in Ray of Revelation in the sideboard if I start having trouble with enchantments.

Forgive me if this has already been discussed in the comments, but I don't feel like you need Centaur Healer in the sideboard. It looks like you can simply out-muscle any red deck pretty quickly, and the only other major aggro in the format (naya blitz) would probably be stifled more by a Fiend Hunter . I'd also consider Beckon Apparition over Rest in Peace . The obvious advantage is that it also advances your board state and has an element of surprise, but Rest in Peace is a more comprehensive lockdown. Looks like a solid build though, +1.

I haven't been happy with Centaur Healer either. Last FNM I didn't see any of the three I sided in against Blitz but I still won, so he's clearly not necessary, and Fiend Hunter looks neat. At that point though I might as well be running Oblivion Ring , as it is easier to cast (it matters in the early turns where my only source of white might be an Avacyn's Pilgrim ) and is harder to remove. The point of the healer is for the body and the 3 life, as a 3/3 is generally only beaten in combat by Ghor-Clan Rampager bloodrush, regenerating Experiment One , and Champion of the Parish ; everything else, it can normally trade with. If he continues to disappoint, I'll probably replace him with more useful cards.
Rest in Peace is not ideal at all for my deck, I've been trying to figure out how to best replace it. The issue is that it cuts the value of Voice of Resurgence and it hoses Rancor , so cards that I have considered are Ground Seal and Grafdigger's Cage . Beckon Apparition might work, as it gives me a body for chump blocking or growing Voice tokens or getting counters from Gavony Township . Sucks that it's a one-time thing, but usually that should be enough. I might give it a go.
July 1, 2013 6:18 p.m.
Grafdigger's Cage stops reanimator, undying, and flashback all at once. Ground Seal replaces itself and stops reanimator. Tormod's Crypt is free and instant speed, stops all three but is a one-time use. Dryad Militant stops reanimator and flashback and is another body, but is vulnerable, and it only works after it gets played. Beckon Apparition is cheap and instant, stops all three and adds a body, but is a one-time use.
Definitely do not want Dryad Militant , as it can be useless if they already have cards in the graveyard. I do not need the early body either.
I would probably run Tormod's Crypt over Beckon Apparition , as it's free and I can play it a while before they even have anything in the graveyard; the only risk is if they Abrupt Decay it before dropping stuff in the yard.
Ground Seal looks to be the most appealing, as I don't really NEED to sideboard a specific hate card against aristocrats or flashback decks, and it replaces itself against Rites.
July 1, 2013 6:43 p.m.
Also note that Ground Seal stops snapcaster interactions. There aren't really any pure flashback cards in standard, but control loves snapcaster flashback.
July 1, 2013 6:47 p.m.
What about Ray of Revelation over Rest in Peace . For Junk rites, it's not vulnerable to Abrupt Decay and doesn't hose your own strategy.
July 4, 2013 11:24 p.m.
Ray of Revelation kills enchantments. What card did you mean
July 4, 2013 11:31 p.m.
Hm. It'd be better than Beckon Apparition for sure. I do like the continuity of Ground Seal though, but of course Abrupt Decay kills it and their cards are still in the graveyard. I might replace Rest in Peace with Purify the Grave instead of Ground Seal then.

I know right, it makes the deck look profesh
I feel so good when I go to FNM now, even if I lost a couple games I would know my deck is working and that I built something that wins

At Littleshop you'll be forever remembered as "that asshole who consistently 4-0's fnms".
The bards will one day sing songs of your deeds to young boys who aspire to be like the great hero Goody.

Watch as next week I get matched up against 4 Jund decks and go 0-4
July 6, 2013 10:26 p.m.
Hey buddy! Nice deck. I have one observation though. Rest in Peace seems bad in this deck. It makes VoR and Rancor s much worse. Maybe try graffdigger's instead.

Just read through the comments and saw it has already been covered. Carry on.

This is that same deck that kept on losing to your esper control, but I've made a few changes to it since then haha. Thanks man

+1 from me man. I LOVE this brew! It gives me faith that people can actually win with rogue decklists. You obviously don't need many suggestions at this point. Feel free to check out my prototype builds: Gruul Rampggro and in particular The Voices of Selesnya.

It's still not too late to trade those voices for fetchlands!
