what bout a few Combustible Gearhulk for the deck? card draw is nice and it may turn into some serious damage if you drop an ulamog or emmy into the gy from the mill

Athraithe: That is an interesting card. For the most part, I would just be drawing 3 cards instead of having 3 cards enter the graveyard, which is pretty good. I haven't seen Combustible Gearhulk played anywhere, have you seen it played at all and how did it fair?

ive seen it played in my meta but only in R/W vehicles. It was played as a 2-of and knowing the deck, i could take the damage especially since i was running rakdos vampires with a bit of lifegain. The card draw would be invaluable in your case and i make a jund marvel deck where someone said "mill". I milled 2 emmy's

Well in my opinion there aren't many situations where choosing to mill would be the correct play, especially when they know what I am playing. So in most situations I would get the card draw, unless my opponent was feeling lucky. Also the only card draw I have is Tormenting Voice so maybe it would be a better option, since if I activated Aetherworks Marvel, I would rather get the Combustible Gearhulk.

Its just a really good card and most people dont give it the credit. Grant it, not the ebst for commander, but thats 40 life not 20!

I'll have to do some playtesting first I guess. Of course I haven't gotten to playtest this at all yet because I don't have some of the cards, but I will certainly consider it.

I would now like to pose this question. What about Naya Aetherworks? I've been watching some gameplay and when it works I think it does better than Temur or Gruul. It has Nahiri, the Harbinger to help with card draw and also to get closer to delirium, answer an opposing Aetherworks Marvel, or also can search a creature out and put it onto the battlefield. Against the mirror it plays Sigarda, Heron's Grace so Emrakul can't target you. Does anyone have any experience with Naya or has seen it played?

So how about a 1-of Exquisite Archangel? It would be better if she had flash but she kind of does with Aetherworks Marvel. I know this wouldn't help very often considering there is only one copy of the card but at the same time I wouldn't need it very often. Thoughts on this card?

I wouldn't add Exquisite Archangel for a couple reasons. First off, she is out of your colors. She would always be a dead draw. Second, if revealed her and Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger, most of the time your going with Ceaseless Hunger.

I will say that Standard is still kinda in a tizzy trying to fill the void that Emrakul, the Promised End left in GR Energy decks. I'm not much of an energy player, and I've never used Aetherworks, so I'm afraid I can't give any real meaningful advice aside from that. But, there should be some creative things coming from the community pretty soon.

Maybe an Aetherwind Basker or two? There really isnt much you can replace emrakul with, unless you wanted to add black for some odd reason and go Noxious Gearhulk
