+1 from me - this is a build after my own heart :D
i think you could use some midrange beaters - Thrun, the Last Troll is epic. i'm always a huge fan of Phyrexian Obliterator . maybe some man-lands?
also, i would worry about being swarmed - board wipe would be a great sideboard bet here.

@Crazybop09 hey thanks for taking a look. Voidslime does look like broken and is exactly what I'm going for, but I'm worried that as it's three mana it may be a bit too late in the game to be of much use. I'll playtest with and see how it works
@scrotality Hey thanks for taking a look man and for all of your suggestions all will be considered and tested. I actually really like your meta puncher deck, and in a small twist I was trying to copy the uniqueness and off the wall aspect of it, especially when it was BUG. Would you be alright if I make a honorable mention to your deck, seeing as how it was my inspiration for mine?
Thanks for taking a look guys!

Counterbalance is a super strong legacy cards because of Brainstorm and the low mana cost of cards in general in the format. because modern has a wider range of mana costs the card loses some of it's power.
Tarmogoyf is a good option because milling will make it massive.
Remand is a really strong counterspell in modern, this will stop you from losing card advantage and not being able to draw enough cards to win.

uiuiho12 I know how strong counterbalance is if you think the brainstorm is bad try facing the counter-top combo. But against most competitive decks the most powerful cards are 2 or 3, the larger amount of two drops gets rid of a lot of threats goyf, remand, Thalia, doom blade, revoker are a few that come to mind and only having to pay 2 for a continuous counter is good enough for me.
Tarmogoyf massive in power and price I don't see any justification in paying that much it's a great card don't get me wrong if it was cheaper I'd definitely get it.
Remand is a good suggestion I'll see how it does in practice and how much use I could really get out of it in this deck.
Sorry if I came across as rude or anything, I have an issue with sounding like a douche, don't take it personally.

Yeah it's really rediculous I remember when I was younger and I was confused at how people could think that Tarmogoyf was stronger than Lhurgoyf man how times have changed.

Not a lot of dredge or graveyard decks in your meta? I was going to suggest Bojuka Bog but theres no room for it haha. Maybe Relic of Progenitus in the sb?

Life from the Loam and Small Pox is a dirty combo with Gemstone Mine for free any-color mana. I would replace Surgical Extraction with Small Pox and then 1 Snapcaster Mage and 1 Shadow of Doubt for 2 Life from the Loam .

I like the life from the loam idea but smallpox seems like it would hurt me more than the opponent because most of my creatures are utility and it would slow me down too much maybe if I go less creature and more control thanks for taking a look though.

i mean, Snapcaster Mage is so strong because of it's flashback effect. Hedron Crab is nice and all but it doesn't really help win the game since you are a not a mill deck. Extirpate can also be taken out for the same reasons as Surgical Extraction .
