I think I like the changes, apart from the fact that I'm weary about both Nighthowler and Voyaging Satyr . I feel like the satyr is really only better than Sylvan Caryatid if you're taking advantage of Nykthos. And the nighthowler Just seems like such a Nombo with ooze.

Agreed on satyr, not worth it if you aren't running the shrine (which you can make do STUPID things in this deck) it's a reallllly good card, any insight as to the reason you aren't keen on it?

Someone once told me that I was being dumb, i'm paraphrasing here, for even consider a 0/3 wall in an aggro deck, and he's right, not a good idea for an aggro deck at all.

Scavenging Ooze is constantly getting removed, so all he's doing is costing me x mana to gain x life which is amazingly awful. With Nighthowler enchanted onto Scavenging Ooze I can exile to gain life without sacrificing power/toughness of my beater, if my opponent decides to remove the ooze it's instantly replaced. It's great when the ooze can drop down, and plunder unopposed but you can't rely on being able to do that. Hence the inclusion of Nighthowler , I feel it's worth a go Spootyone

@Ohthenoises I've never really been a fan of that shrine, really easy to interrupt, also really slow which isn't great for an aggro deck. All my other lands, are drop then drop a creature, this one would be drop wait three turns for the perfect moment, wait don't cast that, bad opponent now i lose, wah. I really don't see the point in adding it, care to enlighten me?

Well, it doesn't come in tapped and it taps for colorless mana so it's REALLY not that slow. Yes, it can take a few turns before you are able to produce POSITIVE mana but you can always use the colorless and as long as you keep it at a 2x you won't really run much of a risk of opening hand colorless.

The shrine works amazingly well with burning tree shaman since he is RR or GG so a T2 tree > tree > voyaging satyr gives you 8 mana on T3.

That of course assumes you start with a three land hand, and that none of those lands are plain old swamps. Which is my biggest problem with the card, my mana base is my enemy, it's really difficult to avoid getting screwed (why i've decided to add the satyr). During gameday I managed to not see a single green land until turn eight in one match, incidentally burning-tree emissary plus dorks allowed me to pull off a win regardless.

The way I see it this could only work with an incredible amount of luck and looking back on all the FNMs I've been to I can tell you luck is not my forte.

Also it's eight red or green mana which can't bring out Dreg Mangler or Exava, Rakdos Blood Witch my go to play for turns 2 and 3. On occasion I can already magic up a turn 3 Kalonian Hydra or Stormbreath Dragon .

But I shall consider it for the time being, thanks for the comments.

I've been a huge fan of the whole Exava, Rakdos Blood Witch + Kalonian Hydra Interaction ever since the Hydra got added. +1 for sure, man.

Cheers PrimevalAndrew, it's totally nuts when you can pull it off. And both cards are pretty good on their own too.

It can't attack, or trade with other creatures. PhageTheUnbeatable. This is an aggressive deck, hiding behind walls won't help me win.

What I really want is this:

??? Cost: 1-R/G

Haste

Tap: Add green or red mana to your mana pool, you take 1 damage.

1/1

Now that would be a perfect card for my deck.

October 23, 2013 5:52 p.m.

Why don't you use Zhur-Taa Druid then, as it gets damage through more reliably and is still in your colors?

I was using it, i've decided to give Voyaging Satyr a chance as he can net me red, green or black mana, and still be an attacker if I don't need the mana.

What do people think about Legion Loyalist in the Voyaging Satyr 's place, seeing as their so much hate for it up in this thread.

I really dig the deck. I've made something similar based on yours, except I'm trying to add more of a counter feel to play with Kalonian Hydra . +1 for your awesome deck. Could you give me a few tips on mine to increase the synergy? Jund Counters, Help needed Thanks in advance.

I'm sorry for asking here but i'm desperate: how do you put images in the description like you did?

On a relevant note, awesome deck. Great goldfishing on the playtester. +1 from me.

@CardsAndStuff you can use this format of markdown (!alt text)(url to image) replace the () containing alt text with [ ]

the alt text part is necessary for it to work. Make sure the hyperlink is to the image only.

About the deck, it seems very well made and tested, but i feel there are some changes to be made as far as consistency goes. It seems like consistently playing 5 mana creatures on turn 4/5 is a little ambitious on 21 lands and Elvish Mystic . I think cutting Legion Loyalist (unless it is there to free up some space main board) for two more lands. Besides that, good luck with the deck.

Anger of the Gods : "NICE. DECK." In all seriousness, this deck has enough midgame possibilities to laugh in angers face. Check out my Jund Standard, it has a more midrange control vibe, but we both used exava at one point. Really undervalued card.

thanks Epicbatman, and i will do.

I hope the god version of xenagos is totally beast, because the red/green god would fit well in here.

Epicbatman says... #18

Yeah, IDK if he will be good, but both of our decks work fine with the R/G Planeswalkers they have anyway, but my deck uses Xenagos, The Reveler because it can be an aggro or midrange card, and because I don't run enough creatures for domri.
I think our decks would have an interesting matchup.

I don't love Legion Loyalist all too much. Maybe run something like Deathrite Shaman in it's place? Or i'm completely wrong. I just think Deathrite Shaman has more overall use.

That list must have taken ages... Anyway, if I had anything to say, it would be to look into the RG and RB temples, since scry is awesome and they'll help your fixing too. With only 20 color producing lands (Nykthos needs BTE to be good, so I don't count it), it'll allow you to keep more hands than you normally would. Not saying that you need to run playsets of each (your color pie doesn't suggest that is necessary), so maybe take out a couple mountains for a couple Temple of Abandon . I understand that they are a little slower, but would you rather be one turn slower (at worst), or would you rather have to play with less cards because of mulliganning?

If I could +1 this again, I would. Have you considered Garruk, Caller of Beasts ? Great way to keep your hand full of more creatures to drop.
