I don't know if you have had a chance to do much playtesting, but this build seems super sluggish for an aggro deck. Some hasty stuff like Spike Jester , Dreg Mangler , and such would perhaps work better despite lacking the synergy with BTE (which I'm not sure is even a good card to be running in the current meta). I'm also not sure 3 color is the best route to be taking with aggro even with Mana Confluence .

i definitely agree with armedpp; Dreg Mangler is a very strong and hasty card that can be used later game to boost up your creatures by +3/+3 with its scavenge. it can be very effective against most types of decks, and is on about the same power scale as Fanatic of Xenagos . i would definitely recommend at least 3 of them.

@armedpp,NicolBolasFTW I have considered using haste creatures, but they have anti-synergy with Prophetic Flamespeaker , there's no point in exiling 4 creatures off the top if I'm tapped out and can't play them.

Its great to be able to make it faster paced Sinobite. Ill be playing the shit out of it next Friday and the weekend, so stayed tuned for a report on my duels.

You mentioned Ghor-Clan Rampager yourself somewhere, was it in the deck once? I think it would be better than Fanatic of Xenagos , or at least two of each.

I removed them along with half of my vipers as I realised there was a good chance I could lose them to professor flame, and now I have Pain Seer and Gnarled Scarhide in their place. Neoxtreem.

Right, that would be awful. However Fanatic doesn't synergize with Prophetic Flamespeaker too well either. When you reveal Fanatic and play it your opponent will gladly give it haste and +1/+1 because it is after combat.

true, but it would still evolve Experiment One , allow for removal with Domri Rade and give me a 3/3 trampler to attack with next turn.

On the one hand, Professor Flame doesn't work well with Ghor-Clan Rampager as it won't be able to bloodrush from exile. However, if you already have the Rampagers in hand, it works so beautifully well with Flame Boy. He's now a 5/7 double strike, trample until end of turn. Also, there will be games in which you don't draw the Human Torch, and in those games, Ghor-Clan Rampager is one of the best cards at your disposal. I wouldn't exclude the Rampagers on the off chance that you exile it with Ghost Rider.

Now, I'm off to think of more fire-based characters to compare Prophetic Flamespeaker to.

Wise words TitansFTW, but i think I prefer card advantage gained through pain seer, than one-off damage thro ghor-clan, but we'll see.

Instead of Pain Seer , how about Blood Scrivener ? Doesnt need to tap, and nets you an extra card for only 1 life...ofcourse your hand has to be empty, but I feel thats when you really need the fuel anyways

If professor flame is exiling cards chances are that I'll end up keeping stuff in my hand, most likely a land or two. Against control? Definetly keeping a handful of hurt.

thanks for the suggestion Khanye

I do not see how wasteland Viper could possibly beat Ghor-Clan Rampager . The rampager's ability to close the game out extremely fast is no laughing matter. I think having 2-3 high drops to ensure a win in later stages of the game when control somehow stabilized would be helpful, My thought here is obviously, Stormbreath Dragon , although Kalonian hydra or osmething along htose lines would work too

You should have some creatures with haste in your deck. Most of them are aggro.

More haste dudes means less mana to pump out cards with Prophetic Flamespeaker

Yep, prize for winning gameday.

personally i don't like Scavenging Ooze in blitz decks i would replace him wither either Thrill-Kill Assassin or Gore-House Chainwalker and maybe Mogis's Warhound

May 30, 2014 3:22 p.m.

Schuesseled says... #23

Why would I want to replace a 2/2 with a very good ability with a 2/2 with no abilities amishrambo

May 30, 2014 7:54 p.m.

amishrambo says... #24

the question is do you have enough mana to kick around to use scoozees ability to make it worth it
