Win-Con: Cast both
Devoted Druid
and
Vizier of Remedies
either from natural draws or using any of the many tutors comprising this deck. Once both are successfully in play (provided Druid has been on the board for a full turn), you now have access to infinite green mana. Tutor for
Spawnsire of Ulamog
if you haven’t already drawn him, then cast him and pay 20 for...
Every. Eldrazi. In. Your. Sideboard. (Including
Eldrazi Conscription
!)
Mana Tithe
is a wonderfully effective countermeasure against any of your opponent’s early attempts to disrupt your mana engine. An additional four copies of
Not of This World
, an amazing impromptu counterspell, are safely tucked away in your sideboard. Should the need arise after you’ve successfully cast your Eldrazi horde, simply tutor one up at any time using
Spawnsire of Ulamog
’s ability. They count as Eldrazi spells, so you’re covered.
An ideal hand would consist of two mana, a
Devoted Druid
and/or
Vizier of Remedies
, and a tutor or two. Iona can be dropped in a pinch if your opponent is being feisty. A full playset of
Living Wish
in the main board along with a lone copy of
Devoted Druid
,
Vizier of Remedies
, and
Spawnsire of Ulamog
in the sideboard act as a contingency against pesky ‘search and remove’ spells like
Extirpate
. Feel free to use it to tutor up a
Dark Depths
if the Eldrazi steroid club isn’t quite enough board presence for you.
If life count becomes an issue, gain as much as you want with
Dawnglow Infusion
—bearing in mind your selected total is doubled if a plains is spent to cast it.
Devoted Druid + Vizier of Remedies
Always aim for
Devoted Druid
to hit the board first when possible. Once these two creatures are in play for at least a turn,
Devoted Druid
can tap for a green, then when a -1/-1 counter is placed on it it untaps.
Vizier of Remedies
subtracts said -1/-1 counter, allowing you to repeat this process indefinitely.
