For R/B sideboard, I generally use the following:

Pithing Needle
Rakdos Charm
Slaughter Games <-- Works really well in control, against control.

I would also consider Annihilating Fire because it's really good at removing Voice of Resurgence .

And you thought you were winning... is my deck that is mainly control in these colors. I like what you have going on, but a control deck tends to have fewer creatures. Right now it's more of a midrange deck, which is still perfectly fine. If you wanted to go more control, you would probably want to add Dreadbore and some sort of card draw/scry. I run Magma Jet for damage and scry and Read the Bones as a great way to restock your hand. Vizkopa Guildmage does not belong here as you already have a large number of cheap creatures. Given that you're win cons are 5 mana, you need to run 24 lands. When looking at my deck, consider the fact that my goal is to keep their board clear and then land my finishers and kill them. If you want to be more aggressive throughout, you have a pretty good build for that, but you would probably want Desecration Demon . Another great card to add is Boros Charm as it protects your creatures or throws a lot of damage at your opponent!

Ipscharen, I actually just decided to swap Desecration Demon in for Soldier of the Pantheon and move that card to the sideboard. I don't really need the upfront aggro, and Soldier is better suited for specific decks where Des Demon is good in pretty much any circumstance.

lpscharen, good point about the lands here. If I take Vizkopa out and put two lands in, what card do you recommend adding to bring it back up to 60?

There are several changes that I would recommend. Firstly, you don't need four copies of Anger of the Gods . I am actually probably going to remove my two copies and put them in the sideboard because it does not do enough against most decks. Also, Erebos is not exactly the best card you could have in here. I would put Dreadbore in over the Angers and another Blood Baron and a Stormbreath Dragon over the Erebos. You might want to consider some burn in here as well, such as Magma Jet or Lightning Strike . Overall though, this is a pretty solid deck and I think it could do pretty well in fnm.

I have an extremely similar build here: Anger of the Obzedat (R/W/B Midrange) Please Help!.

I would recommend moving Erebos, God of the Dead to the sideboard for mirror matches and junk/selesnya matchups.

If you are playing a mirror match and you have Erebos and they do not, you win.

My biggest problems are decks that lifegain faster than me, accelerated aggro decks like Junk and Devotion decks, and the heavy control played by Esper in this meta.

Pithing Needle shuts down Elspeth, Sun's Champion , Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver , and AEtherling in the control matches. Additionally, you can bench Domri Rade , Garruk, Caller of Beasts , and Polukranos, World Eater in the quick devotion aggro decks.

Slaughter Games serves the same purpose, but you can also get rid of things like Far / Away , Supreme Verdict , and the other rough ones that can't be reached by Pithing Needle .

I'm glad to see them in your SB.

However, even with those, the devotion aggro's create board state too quickly, and I would recommend moving Boros Charm to the SB and adding in Doom Blade or something of the like.

Hope this is helpful.
