Jon Irenicus.

"The Shattered One" in Elvish, the archmage whom became Jon Irenicus was an elf mage of the highest order. He had everything. Fame. Fortune. The love of his Queen. There was very little he could have done that could have tarnished his name.

But it wasn't enough for him. Using forbidden magic, he attempted to draw the energies out of the sacred Tree to the Elves to grant himself powers beyond that of a god. Horror Stricken, the Queen sent her most powerful mages to hunt him down.

Few came back to tell the tale, but they did bring him in chains.

Stripped of his elven essence, he was cast out and given the last name Irenicus, to mark his exile from the elven nation.

He spent decades perfecting his forbidden arts, to get revenge on the world that has wronged him.

He has come for you.

Sinister agents of Irenicus lurk everywhere. Even in your own fortress, you are not safe from his dark machinations or the sabotage of his minions.

Tread lightly, for you face an archmage of great power. Saboteurs will hinder you, minions will come to destroy you, all the while Irenicus uses his most powerful spells to render your powers impotent.
