So what have you thought about the deck with Ishai/Reyhan at the helm instead of Atraxa?
March 1, 2019 1:35 p.m.
I can relate, as I also have this guy in our group with this one deck he has, Rats and runs Contamination . It's mildly annoying for a short time.
I moved away from basic lands to lands with an ability I could possibly use.
As always I appreciate every idea, suggestion and piece of feedback. Thank you for yours.

A great suggestion, no regrets. Deck flows more smoothly. Being able to have Reyhan, Last of the Abzan on the field allows for more consistent moves on my end.
I'm not losing my counters which is making a huge positive difference.

Both Damia and Teferi seem a bit out of place here. Life's Legacy is cheap card draw that works well with Reyhan, and Heroic Intervention is an excellent protection spell.
March 10, 2019 5:39 p.m.
Initially the deck was to be heavy card draw and Teferi, Hero of Dominaria with his ultimate to be able to take advantage of that. After playing with friends last night that proved to not work out the way I had planned. Those cards will most likely find themselves removed to make way for new things to be tried out.
Thank you for your comment and suggestions.

it's nice to see another person with these two as commanders..... some suggestions though.
i would add some way to protect the two commanders i use Darksteel Plate for reyhan and Whispersilk Cloak for Ishai.
I would also add stuff that would award the +1/+1 counters like Tuskguard Captain
for other ideas just look at my own deck : Grow, Expand, Explode!
March 28, 2019 10:59 p.m.
Thank you for your comment and suggestions. I had Tuskguard Captain but she was replaced with Bramblewood Paragon which has the same affect for 1 colourless mana less and all I had to give up was -1 toughness.
I have ways of protecting my board with Privileged Position , Heroic Intervention and Teferi's Protection . If my stuff does go to the graveyard I have Muldrotha, the Gravetide , Eternal Witness and Volrath's Stronghold to bring stuff back.
I've fallen in to the habit in the past where I built a deck to do something but spent more time on ways to protect and recur it rather then build it to do the stuff it was meant to do.

I hope you haven't looked at War of the Spark spoilers... prepare to drool uncontrollably.
We got spoiled with an uncommon that could easily be an amazing mythic rare. (Card tag not working yet so you're stuck looking it up)
Evolution Sage - 2G - 3/2 Eld Druid - Landfall Proliferate
April 6, 2019 2:12 a.m.
I don't keep up with it daily. Really?! Damn, Proliferate coming back in WotS. Going to go check that card out.
April 6, 2019 9 p.m.
You can use Crystalline Crawler on your combo for infinite tokens/turns/counters, so you will only need 4 cards.
April 7, 2019 12:18 p.m.
What about Flux Channeler and Single Combat ? We can even work around not being able to cast. Jeez War of the Spark is a gem!
Also Spark Double became a new mvp in my Reyhan.

Spark Double yes. Absolutely yes. Needing to make a few changes and adding that will be one of them. Thanks for the suggestion.

Blade of Selves on Reyhan can kill a player as early as turn 3 in a 4 player game. T1 - land, sol ring, and blade of selves. T2 Reyhan. T3 Equip blade and swing. 2x Reyhan die to the legend rule but those 6 counters are seen and replaced by all 3 Reyhan for 18 more counters on a 3/3.
This can also be infinite turns with Sage of Hours.

In a similar vein to the above suggestion... Rite of Replication kicked and targetting Reyhan is 90 +1+1 counters that you get to distribute in increments of 3 (6 Reyhan X 15 counters). Stick all of 'em on Sage of Hours for 18 extra turns (aka opponents' scoop phase lol).

You're getting to the point that Gaddock Teeg is a viable option for wrath protection. It currently shuts down 8 cards in your list is all.
June 2, 2019 6:23 p.m.
I've been looking at that card for the last 5 days vs. what it shuts down in my deck. I'm at the point now of just convincing myself it's worth it which I know it is. What it would shut down within my playgroup is.....beautiful.
The downside is the cards of mine it shuts off and what cards I could replace those with.
As good as it is I also have to look at how it affects Ishai, Ojutai Dragonspeaker , Managorger Hydra and Sunscorch Regent as they won't be growing as large or as quickly now.
I wonder if adding Void Winnower is worth it if I go that route.

Friday I managed to play Shalai, Voice of Plenty and Gaddock Teeg on t5 with Lightning Greaves already in play... it was gross. No targetting me, my creatures, or my planeswalkers with most wraths shut off lol.

A dream play made reality. Well done good sir.

Holy Jebus... that's one hell of an overhaul... 2.57 avg. cmc down from like 2.91 iirc.
I'll try to take a better look at it and give you my 2 cents after I get some sleep. Nature's Lore (enters untapped) over Rampant Growth off the top of my head though.

Looks good other than you're lacking repeatable draw. Rhystic Study , Guardian Project , Necropotence , Phyrexian Arena and Etched Oracle are all options. I honestly need more draw in my build too.
June 4, 2019 12:36 p.m.
Card draw, you either have too much or not enough.
I’ll probably swap out Scute Mob for Etched Oracle .
Going to remove Sylvan Library all together. Don’t have the life gain to make the most of it.
On the fence now on keeping or not keeping Sensei's Divining Top .
I’m looking to avoid anything that can be shut down by Gaddock Teeg .

Allright no problem! I have this incredibly fun dude in my playgroup who always includes Blood Moon and Back to Basics in his decks, so I can't live without those basics haha.
I also play a decent amount of basics for Traverse the Outlands .
