It's just crazy enough to work.

The entire theme of the deck is to make fat bois, then throw their weight around and sac them to get value and cards to keep on going. Shuffling around counters to keep our investment intact and get some kind of value to boot allows us to recover from board wipes by drawing tons of cards, or get value despite kill cards or creature steal.
