For your reference-

Mathing is Hard! All math based on 4 players and for the Blade of Selves combo found in the next section, plus the cards listed in each section below. Special thanks to Gidgetimer for help with the math!

Note: Master Biomancer and Bramblewood Paragon need to be figured separately as they only add counters when Reyhans enter, not when she moves counters. Good-Fortune Unicorn doesn't work with the below combos.

Blade of Selves on Reyhan, Last of the Abzan - Two tokens are created with counters. They leave the battlefield and six instances of placing counters are created.

6x3=18 counters in 6 increments of 3 counters.

Hardened Scales , Winding Constrictor , AND/OR Pir, Imaginative Rascal - Two tokens are created with counters. They leave the battlefield and six instances of placing counters are created. One, Two, or Three counters are added (or more, respectively) both on creation and on trigger resolution.

With 1 = 30 counters in 6 increments of 5 counters.

With 2 = 42 counters in 6 increments of 7 counters.

With 3 = 54 counters in 6 increments of 9 counters.

+12 Counters for each additional counter.

Corpsejack Menace Only - Two tokens are created with counters. They leave the battlefield and six instances of placing counters are created. Counters are doubled both on creation and on trigger resolution.

6(2(2(3)))=72 counters in 6 increments of 12 counters.

Doubling Season Only - Four tokens are created with counters. They leave the battlefield and twenty instances of placing counters are created. Counters are doubled both on creation and on trigger resolution.

20(2(2(3)))=240 counters in 20 increments of 12 counters.

Corpsejack Menace AND Doubling Season - Four tokens are created with counters. They leave the battlefield and twenty instances of placing counters are created. Counters are quadrupled both on creation and on trigger resolution.

20(4(4(3)))=960 counters in 20 increments of 48 counters.

Corpsejack Menace AND Doubling Season AND Pir, Imaginative Rascal , Hardened Scales , AND/OR Winding Constrictor (aka Magical Christmas Land) - Four tokens are created with counters. They leave the battlefield and twenty instances of placing counters are created. One, Two, or Three counters (or more, respectively) are added and then counters are quadrupled both on creation and on trigger resolution.

With 1 - 20(4(4(3+1)+1))=1360 counters in 20 increments of 68 counters.

With 2 - 20(4(4(3+2)+2))=1760 counters in 20 increments of 88 counters.

With 3 - 20(4(4(3+3)+3))=2160 counters in 20 increments of 108 counters.

+400 counters for each additional counter.

Hardened Scales , Winding Constrictor , AND/OR Pir, Imaginative Rascal - Rite makes 5 tokens with counters. Them dying creates 30 triggers. 30((3+X)+X)

With 1 - 150 in 30 increments of 5 counters.

With 2 - 210 in 30 increments of 7.

With 3 - 270 in 30 increments of 9.

+60 counters for each additional counter.

Corpsejack Menace only - 5 tokens with counters are created. They leave the battlefield and thirty instances of placing counters are created. Counters are doubled both on creation and on trigger resolution.

30(2(2(3)))=360 in 30 increments of 12 counters.

Doubling Season - 10 tokens with counters are created. They leave the battlefield and 110 instances of placing counters are created. Counters are doubled both on creation and on trigger resolution.

110(2(2(3)))=1320 in 110 increments of 12 counters.

Doubling Season AND Corpsejack Menace - 10 tokens with counters. They leave the battlefield and 110 instances of placing counters are created. Counters are quadrupled both on creation and on trigger resolution.

110(4(4(3)))=5,280 in 110 increments of 48 counters.

Doubling Season AND Corpsejack Menace AND Pir, Imaginative Rascal , Hardened Scales , AND/OR Winding Constrictor (aka 'Shoulda spent that luck on the lotto') - 10 tokens with counters are created. They leave the battlefield and 110 instances of placing counters are created. One, Two, or Three counters (or more, respectively) are added and then counters are quadrupled both on creation and on trigger resolution.

110(4(4(3+3)+X))=

With 1 - 7,480 counters in 68 increments of 108.

With 2 - 9,680 counters in 88 increments of 108.

With 3 - 11,880 counters in 110 increments of 108.

+2200 counters for each additional counter.

So, the formula in the RoR "lotto luck" section is wrong, but you got the right numbers. It should be 110(4(4(3+X)+X)).

Hi, this deck seems like allot of fun, any more updates to come?? :)

March 24, 2020 7:47 a.m.

AkaAkuma says... #5

@Millenhero Sure will come! For some time I couldn't really find good new additions but with C20 I will definitely update the deck again. The partners Ukkima, Stalking Shadow with Cazur, Ruthless Stalker seem very interesting inclusions, the Luminous Broodmoth will possibly replace Shalai, Voice of Plenty...

April 6, 2020 2:25 a.m.

Millenhero says... #6

heja, if you would put all the land fetches in, what lands would you replace? or would the fetches weaken the landbase? and what cards to replace for the black/blue/white tutors? want to make this deck, but a bit more ruthless for my meta :)

April 7, 2020 3:06 a.m.

AkaAkuma says... #7

Phoe, hard question. I would possibly cut cards like vigor, shalai, mycoloth, Master biomancer or Sheoldred since they don't add consistency for a win but are just goodstuff to make room for tutors and Blade of Selves, Sage of Hours and Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord (winning with jarad gets old really quickly).

Also maybe you want to include Spike Feeder, Triskelion infinite combos

Fetch jarad with 40 power on board, Blade of selves equipped on reyhan swings for 21 commander damage in a 4man game (explained in a primer). Herald of Secret Streams, Simic Ascendancy (not included in my deck) and my favorite Walking Archive are some powerful win options.

I hope you have fun with these 2!

Branching Evolution might be a consideration if you are looking to double down on getting counters value.

AkaAkuma says... #14

@KibaAlpha: I just received it over the mail yesterday haha. The whole jumpstart set was unavailable in Europe for a while, so I couldn't get it before.

But the deck is going to be adjusted allot, including the new nemesis bond lands, and im going to experiment with Kels, Fight Fixer, Eerie Ultimatum, Glasspool Mimic  Flip, the Hagra Constrictor and Retribution of the Ancients you also use and most shockingly I am going to change Ishai for Sakashima of a Thousand Faces for a while to see how that runs.

My whole gameplan is to copy reyhan for multiple triggers anyway, so maybe trading white for Sakashima is a good idea.

KibaAlpha says... #15

You know how long before your post and a notification of that post on my Reyhan deck showed up? Think it was about a week. Notification was and maybe still is glitchy.

Learn something new, didn't know you were in Europe. You are able to get your hands on Jumpstart now?

Those are going to be some pretty interesting changes but then again you didn't build the typical Reyhan deck and I'm excited to see what you do with Sakashima and the legend rule being nul and void.

Send me a message as you make changes. I definitely want to follow as your deck evoles.

Wow! I'm really no one has commented on this deck for how much work you've put into it!

I really love the deck by the way! The cloning of Reyhan was not something I thought of until seeing this!

One thing that I might add or bounce off of you: Blade of Selves As cool as this card is in a 4 player game of commander, I have a suggestion for people that, maybe due to the pandemic or having fewer friends available, don't always have extra non-defending opponents.

And my suggestion is Followed Footsteps. 3UU for an Enchantment Aura that makes a copy of enchanted creature at the start of each of your upkeeps. Legend rule would still apply and die if it was put onto Reyhan. Obviously it's not lightning fast growth like on Blade of Selves, but the myriad effect just doesn't work at all in a 1v1 format.

Anyways, I would just suggest swapping out Blade of Selves for Followed Footsteps if you are playing 1v1 so that you don't have a dead card in your deck.

Again, I enjoyed reading through your deck! I hope you continue to update it!

You can read old comments by opening the archive, top right of the comment section. White button. Re BoS, I sometimes build pseudo-sideboards for different power levels, but I assume most decks aren't balanced or built for 1v1, even though that does happen.

Also, I love this deck too -- I've followed it for a couple years now. Building a variant of it for use with my Witch-Maw commander (and ofc Reyhan/Ishai when the group doesn't want the Nephilim at the helm)

AkaAkuma says... #18

Hey SokoS, Monitor,

Followed Footsteps is a really good suggestion I am going to consider! Because it certainly is a real bummer to grab a blade of selves on a 1v1. Mirror Mockery is another good alternative to blade of selves.

If only we could access to cards like Molten Echoes..

Monitor as usual explains before I can get to haha, thanks for always having my back man! I usually clean the comments up after a while to avoid enormous logs. My primer is quite a log already...

+1! So glad I ran into your list here. I was actually attempting to build a Nethroi deck, but was struggling to come up with a list that I enjoyed. Now I can toss it into the 98 and play blue cards too! Many thanks for sharing all your experiences with the deck and for the detail in your writeup.

Ahh yea, I hope they quickly return to mutate! The mechanic was fun but so unfortunately limited. Just as I wished Ixalan had an enrage commander. Something like a tiny version of polyraptor.

But happy to inspire you! Let me know if you uncovered something cool

KibaAlpha says... #21

Still going strong with Reyhan and Ishai I see. Been a while thought I'd stop by see if you'd taken the plunge swapping out Ishai for Sakashima.

Still got plans for that?

April 30, 2021 1:26 a.m.

AkaAkuma says... #22

Hey KibaAlpha!

No, the idea is benched. I was trying to phase out white for Sakashima but instead discovered the potential of Basri's Lieutenant with e.g. Good-Fortune Unicorn . Tayam, Luminous Enigma and Luminous Broodmoth caught my attention and suddenly with all these new white sources Sakashima just couldn't take the helm.. And I couldn't take it in my heart either to bench Walking Archive .

Instead I've been cutting the CMC and made more room for combo potential. The list is a bit outdated as right now Mazirek and Spark double made room for Double Major (fun with doubling season) and Tanazir Quandrix (I have about 30 creatures that have base power 2 or less, which makes this thing so good!).

And man, in it's current setup this deck is running so incredibly well now. I see you've caught the Orzhov fever lately, you still play with Reyhan?

April 30, 2021 5:41 a.m.

KibaAlpha says... #23

Sad to hear, was quite interested in seeing what you could pull off.

I agree white has gotten some love, Good-Fortune Unicorn was added to my own the deck the moment I saw it.

I've stepped away from my own Reyan and Ishai deck. Worked on it and played it so much needed a break. Found myself unable to settle on cards.

I'll have to go over your deck in the near future. Check out these changes and maybe help myself to settle on some cards. I've always enjoyed the fact yours is a 4 colour Aristocrats brew. It makes it unique.

I haven't played my own Reyhan and Ishai in some time. At the moment it's in prototype mode. Yeah Orzhov has become my fave Guild. I never thought I'd step away from creature heavy brews but here I am branching out in to new territory. Very much enjoying it.

Came across this card Emiel the Blessed and thought of you. Not sure if blinking is of any value to your build but maybe?

December 4, 2021 12:21 p.m.

AkaAkuma says... #25

Hey Kiba,

It won't be good enough to replace one of the 98, but it's ability looks like allot of fun, even as a commander! The only card I'm considering at the moment is Sigarda's Summons, but i think Tanazir Quandrix is doing that just a bit better.
