This is a constant pressure / Trample deck, which I'm building to use in the upcoming Game Day. It relies on steady aggression to keep the opponent busy while some card draw & scrying helps me get out the big monsters. I should also point out that this is basically a deck built with random cards from a couple drafting games + Origins deck builder + Dragons of Tarkir fat pack, and an additional budget of around $30. Some of these cards I already have, some I'm planning to buy, but consider this to be almost Pauper level when recommending cards :) I would love to add 4x
Deathmist Raptor
, but it's not in the budget :P (Shaman of Forgotten Ways I have from a draw, and I can borrow two Polukranos, World Eater cards.)
Ramp / Deck / Draw cards:
Elvish Mystic- everyone uses 'em for green, everyone knows why.
Ainok Guide
- essentially an upgraded Elvish Mystic, either +2/+2 for 2, or +1/+1 plus I get to move a land to the top of my deck if I'm low.
Elvish Visionary grants extra card draw, always helpful for this deck.
Titan's Strength
grants Scry when used, in addition to a temporary +3/+1
Specialized Cards:
Hitchclaw Recluse
is really just there to counter flying creatures
Reclamation Sage may be moved to mainboard, acts as an artifact/enchantment counter which this deck lacks
Everything else is based around playing aggressively, with a focus on trample.
Heir of the Wilds
has deathtouch- nice synergy with Kindled Fury to snipe opponent creatures.
Stampeding Elk Herd grants Trample to all creatures when Formidable
Dromoka's Gift
boosts low-strength creatures, keeping them useful later in game
Blinding Flare
has nice synergy with Trample, knocking out big defendersetc.
Some cards I should probably replace or eliminate-
Prickleboar
- First Strike is nice, but it's still 5 mana for a 5/3
Living Totem
- I like it because it gives a boost to another creature, but there's probably better
