This is a mix of two different top 8 tournament decks--Colossal Gruul (by Makihito Mihara) and G/R Monsters (by Christopher Posporelis). I didn't like how little red the Colossal deck had, but I loved how much mana it could produce to activate monstrosity. The monsters deck never seemed to have enough mana to do what it needed to do. That, and I really liked the use of Voyaging Satyr and Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx to produce upwards of 30 colored mana in one turn. Heck, if you're really lucky, you can turn two a Garruk, Caller of Beasts. Anything to help out with this deck would be wonderful.
