Casual RG Beats Deck.

This started as a mix of quick aggro and mana ramp to bigger creatures, but it just plays better as a faster aggro deck with some mid-game reach.

Standard issue stuff like Kird Ape , Lightning Bolt and Rancor make up the core of the deck. Some mana acceleration from Birds of Paradise to reliably get to 4 mana. They also can get rancor'd if necessary. The main beats are the "madness" package of Basking Rootwalla + Wild Mongrel . Both are decent on their own, but combine them and you get instant-speed blockers and free pumps. Not a key combo necessarily, but one that has been serving me well for many years.

The deck is rounded out by Flametongue Kavu which acts as removal plus a fat body, and Bloodbraid Elf which allows for some explosive plays to end the game.
