R(ed)B(lue)G(reen) buff.
Creature basis is mainly creatures that say "whenever you cast an instant or sorcery this creature gets "+something/+something" until end of turn" and then has mostly instants that have some sort of Giant Growth effect. Also has Wild Defiance so those "Giant Growths" give it an additional +3/+3 on top of what they already did, and then you also add the creatures effect...
Based off of one of my standard decks that after looking through past sets I found it would work much better as a modern deck.
The main problems I had with the deck as a standard deck was that i didn't have much of any card draw in the deck so around 4-6th turn i would basically buff a creature to high hell, and deal from 15-30ish damage in one turn, but if I didn't finish the game at that point I would often draw blanks for the last few rounds before one of us finally died, usually being myself since I "ran out of steam" so early on. In attempt to prevent this i added some card draw with Last Thoughts to hopefully get a card every time i attack, and Blue Sun's Zenith so that i can draw a larger amount of cards if i happen to have spare mana (the main purpose of this card would be to use it around turn 4-6 when I've used all the cards in my hand and after words have a lot of mana and nothing to spend it on).
Additionally, because this is now a modern deck I've also thrown in some Eye of the Storm(s) to make this deck even more ridiculous, especially if your playing against another deck that cant use Eye of the Storm to their advantage as well as you can (ie: few instants/sorceries).
For the sideboard:
Guttersnipe: For a situation where I find i need more creatures and because of the crazy increase of usefulness in multi-player games (and of course he fits the theme of the deck very well just in a slightly different manner).
Hunger of the Howlpack: In case I go against decks that can easily pick off creatures with low toughness with stuff like Pillar of Flame or "tap to deal damage" effects, since the +1/+1 counters obviously won't go away. Not the thing to prevent this, but still a possible save, and it will still be an offensive move next turn when I attack again. =)
Idle Thoughts: In case I need even more card draw...
and
Lightning Prowess: Because it gives a nice alternative to attacking especially to pick off nasty creatures your opponent won't block or attack with because they know you want them dead, or to prevent death to a death touch creature. Additionally, Lightning Prowess has CRAZY synergy with Blistercoil Weird since he un-taps every time you cast a spell.
Maybe Board:
Burst of Strength: An alternative to Hunger of the Howlpack because it may be a challenge to actually get the morbid to trigger, and in that case the un-tap would be better than no un-tap.
Krenko's Command: Its creatures that can block/attack... and its a sorcery... win/win imo...
Lunar Mystic: Because not being able to draw really sucks with this deck...
Madcap Skills: Can be very useful, especially if my opponent doesn't have enough creatures to block with. A little worried over putting too many enchantments into the deck though simply because for every enchant in the deck, thats one less instant/sorcery in the deck.
Predator's Rapport: With the primary function of this deck you can get some stupid amounts of life off of this... Kiln Fiend (1/2) two Wild Growths ((+3/+3)x2) one Wild Defiance (+3/+3 for each spell that targets Kiln Fiend) and then a Predator's Rapport, Kiln Fiend becomes a 25/17, and you gain 42 life for just 5 mana...
Rancor: Normally I wouldn't have any problem with Rancor in a deck, however (for the same reason I'm a bit unsure if I want to put in Madcap Skills) I don't want to put in too many enchants because thats less instants.
Tablet of the Guilds: I can't even remember how many games I've won JUST BECAUSE i had one or two Tablet of the Guilds on the field. Sure the amount of life is small, especially when your only playing mono-color cards, but if you play 3+ spells a turn, it adds up quickly. In all honesty I wouldn't even consider not having them in the deck (and also Predator's Rapport) if not for the fact that I don't think the inability to gain life will set me back that much. However if it does you can bet they'll both be tossed in as soon as I get the chance.
I would definitely like to get some sort of trample into the deck, however I'm simply unaware of anything other than Rancor that has a low CMC. Most buff cards I'm aware of that give trample (like Chorus of Might) have a really high cost especially when the main reason i would cast them is just for the option of trample (since having a lot of creatures to give the extra +1/+1 per creature isn't always able to be utilized in this deck due to few creatures and pretty easy to kill creatures). I would definitely put in something that gave trample till the end of turn in place of Titanic Growth or Giant Growth if i could find something with a low cost (1-2 CMC).
Of course any input and/or tips are appreciated, =D and if you don't like reading, sorry for the short novel. >.>
