@Dreno33- thanks Ill look into them. most likely will add in the bracers.

You can respond to Roon's return to the battlefield trigger by activating Sundial of the Infinite to make sure it never comes back (if you were to target an opponent's permanent with Roon's ability).

Sundial of the Infinite is a must-include.

@PhageTheUnbeatable oh very nice I hadn't thought about that. Ill snag one immediately! haha

You should also include Palinchron and Peregrine Drake , as they both go infinite with Deadeye Navigator .

how come you don't have any other planes walkers? I could think of many relevant ones for a deck like this.

Gideon, Champion of Justice - before activating his ultimate that turn, exile your biggest creature with Roon, then exile the field. at the end of your turn, that exiled creature still comes back being the ONLY permanent on field, which people will usually scoop is its a good enough creature haha.

  • the creature i'm thinking of is Frost Titan to control their incoming lands next turn or Sun Titan to bring back another permanent for more board presence.

Garruk, Caller of Beasts - because you have tons of creatures!

@Dreno33- both would be good actually. I might work in Gideon as I have an extra copy of him. Garruk I might have to wait on as of his cost. but I can definitely see the good point of him Incorporated. any suggestions on what to cut?

Aura Shards , probably a must include for this deck and EDH. Beckcall might be neat for its multiple modes.

Cytoplast Manipulator , some of the other graft critters, or Fathom Mage feels pretty abusable in this.

And if you really want to get crazy Wild Pair would pretty hot, but would require some careful planning to get the most out of it.

Beck / Call that is...

December 4, 2013 4:29 p.m.

@CommieGold- Aura Shards is a definite add when I get a hold of one. I felt that Beck / Call was a lil underwhealming personally. I did consider Fathom Mage . and still considering it. But I want to work in a Deadeye Navigator first.

also, a deck like this needs Thran Dynamo

  • Look at how many creatures have 3+ colorless mana in their cost.

  • Plus, he activates your general with one extra floating.

I feel it's a must. I THOUGHT you already had it in here or else I would have already suggested it.

Very reasonable. I liked Beck / Call mostly for the idea that it might not be bad to have when you don't have access to your commander. But, you're probably right that it's not a must add like Aura Shards . : P

@Dreno33 thats another one to add. ive been keeping an eye out for one lately for this deck also haha thanks

Oh, and I would cut voidwalk. Cool synergy, but likely won't last very long. It is a little win more.

Cool deck! +1 Cauldron of Souls would be awesome in here because EDH has so many board wipes and this would trigger almost ever single ETB effect on the field again, even if it killed them from the persist.

sorry forgot to mention this one too! Sudden Disappearance

December 8, 2013 6:15 p.m.

@Orvos101 I definitely will consider it. I do like the synergy the results from it

I would recommend Mangara of Corondor . When you tap her you can actually respond to her being exiled by bouncing her (Or using Karakas on her like they do in the popular Legacy deck, Death and Taxes). This allows to to just repeatedly exile your opponents permanents. You can even do it multiple times a turn provided you have the mana and things like Puppet Strings .

-Orvos- says... #21

@BawwPixels just so you know Karakas is banned in EDH. A tad bit overpowered to be able to tap and return an opponents general to their hand.

I would reccomend Instill Energy . Soul of the Harvest for amazing card draw. Armada Wurm because... well look at it and Minamo, School at Water's Edge is a very good replacement for an island. Minion Reflector is also a very very strong card. Fierce Empath is a very good tutor. Hornet Queen and Knight-Captain of Eos can get downwright stupid.

Hope my advice helped. Roon is such a fun commander.

I love Roon of the Hidden Realm as a commander! Two synergies I found useful are those he has with Fiend Hunter and Evoke cards like (most specifically) Mulldrifter (which is already in your Maybeboard :) ). In both cases you are able to exile them before there ETB resolves, allowing you to respectively exile a creature permanently and keep another locked down for 5 mana, and to draw 4 cards for 5 mana. These are both very useful. Another Evoke creature I have in my list is Cloudthresher . Last suggestion I want to make is Derevi, Empyrial Tactician . In combination with Roon he is actually stupidly broken, especially if you have some saucy mana producer on the field like Thran Dynamo . The idea is to swing in with an army of things and put as many Derevi triggers as possible onto the stack. Then resolve those triggers one or two at a time to untap the dynamo and Roon repeatedly before end of combat. Bonus suggestion: Mass Polymorph is insane if many of your ETBs produce tokens! ;)

i would add Azusa, Lost but Seeking, Exploration, Oracle of Mul Daya Green Sun's Zenith and Dryad Arbor, Burgeoning, and Skyshroud Claim these are some of my favorite ramp cards and i put them in every green EDH deck

Venser, Shaper Savant, Vendilion Clique (might be a tad expensive), and Are fun blink targets,

Glen Elendra Archmage is great because you can sac it to counter, then blink it so it comes back with out -1/-1 counters.

Ghostway, Vanish into Memory, Flickerwisp, Turn to Mist, and Momentary Blink are pretty good ways to blink creature.

Hope this helps ;)

My own suggestion to the deck is probably switching Day of Judgment for Supreme Verdict for being uncountable. I do like the Ghostway in the deck and I may run that in my deck for sure. While I kinda see why Gideon, Champion of Justice is in the deck, I like to know your reason for running him over other planeswalkers?
